The only asexual character I know of is Todd Chavez from bojack horseman, I’m also asexual and I don’t really see much about it in the media, so I had to deep dive to figure out why I felt that way, but it makes me feel comfortable in knowing who I am now, I didn’t realize I could relate to someone so much about these situations, i never fully connected the dots but it makes sm sense, I always try to explain my reasoning behind ways I acted in school but no one ever understands because they haven’t lived it, but this helps me feel understood and I really appreciate you sharing your story. Relationships have been difficult in the past due to my lack of sexual interest, they would end right away because it seemed no one wanted to get to know me outside of intercourse but my current partner has been so supportive and understanding about me being asexual, so it’s definitely been so much easier to just exist without that worry. ACE FAM REPRESENT!!!!

Apparently Jessica Rabbit is said to be ace and a character from Sex Education (was was in an episode for like 10 min 😅 but a had a great clip of the therapist tell her she isn’t broken or missing anything just because she doesn’t feel like the rest so 👍🏼) other than that, canon characters I can’t think of any. For me finding out I was ace was more tricky because I do have romantic feelings for people so all the ace videos I was seeing were people saying they never had crushes and stuff so I was always in limbo lol what made it click for me was looking at the spectrum of asexuality. I could be Demi but I’ve never been close enough to someone to potentially develop that but the one that clicked was (can’t remember the actual name lol) but it’s basically when you can feel “aroused” or consume fictional media but not wanting to be in those situations. So fictionally yes, in practice no. And Ace can be different things to everyone so I kinda just went with it 😅

a character who is ace coded that i know of is Saiki k from the disasterous life of Saiki k its a bit cathartic to know others in the ace spec community exist as an ace identifying individual and noting some similarities i have experienced are some that others share thank you for this i appreciate youre story and as proof that i can have a happy life without a relationship and touching on ace only things we do have an international ace day, april 6th (i found out about this this year :>)
