I find it very disappointing that so many people in the lgbt community are unaccepting of us. There is literally no excuse for a queer person to tell an ace person that they can “fix them”. Yuck. I’m very grateful for our allies though 💕

I kinda wonder how much the cishet men's response about wanting to be seen as sexually attractive to their partners is rooted in the insecurity caused by society telling them they can't be seen as attractive without being inherently sexualized... Honestly its really sad how they're treated like they're not allowed to be anything other than strong, stoic, emotionally stunted sex symbols :/

There’s a really good story in DCs 2022 pride comic about an ace character where he describes asexuality as the silence in the symphony. It’s often overlooked but it’s just as important as the rest of the music. I highly recommend that everyone here check it out. I got so excited when I read it because I was not expecting an ace character and yes I cried

Just because we're ace doesn't mean we're all ok with any partner we have, being intimate with someone else. So no we shouldn't just "date polyamourous or consensual non monogamous people" as if that's the only people for us...... Like yeah some of us are cool with it, but we're all different. Some allos are ok with not being intimate, some of us aces are ok with being intimate sometimes, not all of us are s*x repulsed. There are also other aces we can be with!
