England also had homeground advantage in their Euros. Australia beat Great Britain at the Olympic QF that was under pressure too!

I was at the game and I’m a huge soccer fan. The one thing I constantly critiqued is the hesitation inside our attacking box. Why do we take so long to decide to just shoot?

Well Australia are 10th and used to be better.

the attendance for the WC Final in 1998 which was hosted in France was literally 75 000. 89 000 for the 2022 World Cup in which France played and 78 000 when France won the World Cup final in 2018. 57 000 people attended the 2019 women's world cup and guess where that was hosted? In France. Just because you get 50,000 people coming to one game doesn't make you a football country. The 50,000 were there because it was France playing had it been another country like china or Jamaica the attendance wouldn't have been the same.

Stadium Australia in Sydney is good.

It's just how any good European team play but you wouldn't understand that cause Australia is shit at football and don't know how to play when the game gets a bit physical. Also that "Play Style" Currently has France rated 5 in the world while Australia is 10th and lets not get started on the Men's. France dominated the match but just weren't clinical enough. We'll see what happens if they meet during the world cup.

I hate how they do all internationals at the MCG or Marvel, you could have 50k at the MCG and the atmosphere would be worse than 20k at aami park. Dogshit organisation as per usual from FFA.

Agreed. A lot of the one touch football looked scratchy & the Matilda's still gave a lot of possession away. I'm not a fan of them playing out from the back but it did lead to the goal, but I wonder if during the WC it will bring us more grief than joy.

@@Marvel__fan900 Really, let's put that in perspective then shall we. The supposedly 5th best womens soccer team in the world, the Matildas, got trounced 7-0 by 15 year old schoolboys in a game. The reality is that you can see a higher skill level game at your local footy field played by kids on a Saturday morning. It's nice that they are having fun but I personally prefer to see professionals playing the game at the highest possible level.

U know the Netherlands women's team beat a u18 boys team last month why not talk about that i know u just want to troll them but they don't need to beat some stupid boys team to prove anything i know that and all the fans know that so keep mentioning how some u18 team play
