Hi. How bendy is the Monopod when it's fully extended? It looks a bit thin, but maybe it's sturdier than it looks. Thanks

Michael, why do your prefer the cobra 2 monopod over the Cobra Strike ? Both have the same height (1.50 m) when fully extended.

Michael uses a Cobra C120 on the video which has a folded length 55cm with a10Kg payload, and the Cobra 2 Strike is 81cm folded length with a 8Kg payload. The C120 is carbon fibre and extends using a traditional leg buckle system and the Strike is aluminium and has a twist auto extension, allowing for rapid deployment. As there is very little difference in weight, it might be that the C120 is preferred as it is more portable because it is 26cm shorter and can handle a larger payload….which is essential if you are using a long and heavy lens. I have two critical questions on the Cobra 2 Strike. I am wondering if the rotating locking release at the top disengages when I am panning in either direction, since my left hand would be gripping it during pans to maintain stability. Please note that I am not able to use the video head with a camcorder. I would also like to know if pressure applied to a camcorder at the zoom level will cause the ball joint at the bottom lose it's smooth pan due to the increased friction. For more clarity--when using a camcorder, I need to press down on my camcorder in order to pan and zoom without shaking the camera, which also presses down on the monopod's base.

Can the c-180ii support the weight of a Sony a6500 with 18-105/4 mounted on a Feiyu AK2000 while held horizontally away from you fully extended with the base anchored to my stomach?

You prefer the clamps or the one that has only one extension?

The Strike and Cobra Monopod have there benefits in different situations. The Strike is lightweight and quick where as the Cobra allows for finer adjustments

Hey thanks great review. I shoot landscape as well, but don't want to take a tripod if I go hiking with the family. It has to be a fast setup (set - shoot - go) I was wondering if the cobra 2 is capable to capture photos with longer shutter speed and what is the maximum you can get the shutter speed down?

Hi Michael. Thanks for your feedback. The Cobra Monopod can stand on its own depending on the wind conditions and camera weight. But we would never recommend that a customer leaves their monopod unattended. Therefore the Cobra is more than capable of taking a crisp image with long exposure.
