Richard talks us through the iFootage Cobra 2 Monopod - which we think is one of the best monopods that you can currently buy.
In the video we look at the C180 version (Carbon Fibre 180cm height), but there is also a C120 and A180 (Aluminium 180cm height) and A120.

how tight do the legs lock in the open position? the equivalent sirui's legs have a bit of play, which translates into signifigant wobble at the top of the monopod.

That ball head at the bottom. Could it be tighten enough so the monopod is not wobbly? I have Zhiyun monopod and the ball head makes it really wobbly.

Great Review and great Monopod, Just one question can you put a spike on the end of this Monopod

I’ll double check tomorrow, but from memory there is a rubber foot on the bottom of the monopod/tripod feet that should allow you to add a spike. Not sure they do one so you may have to go third party

I'm new to this so, quick question. I had already planned on buying a Smooth Q gimbal on it. So, with it doing the stabilizing and panning, is there any need for a fluid head?

+Rob Hutchins nope... the Smooth Q will screw straight on. You will be doing any panning with the Smooth Q itself. You can mount a phone as a camera and then use a second phone to control the movement of the gimbal... or if you are tracking yourself use the auto tracking feature.

Photogearnews that is what I was hoping. Just trying to save my money on the fluid head, if it was never needed. I'm only using a phone always. And realized since I had the gimbal, really never saw the need for the head. Thx
