Technically, there's no upper limit to the amount of water you can use if you can get something to hold the structure.

Caustic Soda is corrosive, that's why we don't dissolve with our hands but the polymer is not corrosive and will form lumps if dissolved in some other way. Thanks for the comment.

The polymer we use don't have such issue.
