Jump the gun -impulsive or deciding too soon without thinking 5. Cut to the chase - come to the around 6. Come around - change opinion 7. Pain in the neck - 8. Eat like a bird - To eat very little 9. Addition : "throw under the bus" means "to put someone into the troublesome situation" It was new to me so I hope it helps others too

It sort of means betraying. Like letting someone take the blame for some wrong doing you did. Not just merely putting someone in a troublesome situation.

( to )pull up your socks To improve your performance or behaviour. ( To )Come round : to change your opinion of something ( to) cost an arm and a leg : Extremely expensive ( to )Jump the gun : To do some too soon, without thinking about it. (To) get a kick out of (something ) : to endure or really enjoy something Pain in the neck : something which is troublesome (to) cut the chase : to come to the point without wasting time.
