Wild edibles are free and nutritious. Common Weeds And Wild Edibles Of The World is a how-to film about foraging. It will teach you how to safely and sustainably identify, harvest, and prepare some of the most common, most delicious wild-growing plants. I've traveled to 67 countries and have been able to find most of the greens discussed in this movie on the ground. Plants like lambs quarters, common mallow, dandelion, purslane, salsify, and many more. I hope this video helps you eat the weeds in your neighborhood.

This guy is like the Bob Ross of foraging. I love how every segue sounded like we were about to watch a segment of Soul Train.

"...conscious forager..." - I love this! I started foraging in the fields when I was 8 growing up on outskirts of Moscow. Our house was the last on the block, with potato beds across the street and lots of weeds to munch on

One of the best foraging videos on KZfaq! Thank you so much! I've been foraging in my backyard and neighborhood for a while now. I come from a culture where that's what we did/still do for our greens (which we eat a lot of), no wonder we are so healthy! Amaranth

Wow. This is amazing. I grew up eating and harvesting dandelions, love them. My mother cooked them with some vinegar in the water to give the bitterness a better flavor. I recognize a lot of these weeds, but never knew their names or that they are edible. The pineapple weed, we used to play with as a kid picking them and pretending they were a wild carrot and put them in weed salads, but never knew it could actually be eaten. You have opened my eyes to a whole new world. Thanks.

When I was a kid, I used to eat those mallow things in the field. It was common in my mother's garden in Utah. I never knew the name, but I loved those buttons. I'm probably lucky I didn't die.

Love this book!! Purchased it not long after it first came out and started walking around looking for wild edibles. I was also very inspired by the story of your family walking the PCT! From time to time I go back and read about it for a inspirational boost. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the masses. It has changed my life.

This was so well done and inspiring that I've watched it twice and gone out foraging every day since :)! Thank you for your thorough explanations and demos, and for sharing your enthusiasm and vast knowledge. I didn't realize how well we could eat just by getting educated and going outside!

Other than not really having the same taste in title music, I couldn't find any fault with this film. It was clearly explained, well delivered & concise & the time passed quickly. You even addressed the biggest fault on YT - that the www isn't just full of Americans & you addressed species that are common in many countries where the rest of us live. Especially for that, I thank you.

Thank you very much for this video. I love seeing the many different ways God provides for everyone in nature, and I appreciate that you are asking people to be conscientious of what we by and how much waste goes into transporting foods from regions that are so far away. Thank you and I pray that you will keep growing in your success. God bless you!
