I so much enjoyed the speech. Thanks handsome. I’m a living proof of greens. I didn’t know about this handsome guy. 5 years ago I got my info from James Destroyed Disease. Doctor put me on meds and I only took it for about half of a year. Then I decided to go green since I found out about greens. A year later, my primary doctor took me off of the meds because he said I don’t have the problem anymore. So I’ve been off of meds for over 3 years now. I feel blessed.

1983 I was told I would shoot insulin for the rest of my life. I got a 2nd opinion and it was the same. I found an MD that was willing to devise me a diet. This was when no one believed diet could heal you. I signed a waver for the insulin diagnosis and began the diet. I became a vegetarian and beat diabetes

@@24get24give A few years ago I looked up the doctor and saw he was still in practice. The Yelp comments were he is old and should be a naturopathic. This guy asks questions that have no reason to be asked. I commented that he is old and that if they are looking for a doctor to see them 15 min and prescribe antibiotics and pain pills, he is not for you. He treats the whole body; old school. He saved my life by asking all the right questions.

@@celiasennon1494 It was a long process. The first difference is that he did a 15 hour glucose tolerance test, which was double the time of the other 2 doctors. He met me at his office at 6:00 am and finished at 9:00 pm. I then returned to his office and he had books everywhere. My test had showed a variance of levels over longer periods of time and so some foods were eliminated because of that. I was taken off all meat, fruits, even some veggies like carrots. The diet was limiting. I ate real old style plain granola, some nuts, seeds, vitamins, ect. I received Iron shots. I was tested weekly and after some time started adding back in foods, one at a time. The first meat was fish, then chicken, then beef, and last was pork. Within 18 months I tested normal with my blood sugar and have ever sense! I joined the Army and ate what they gave me, staying away from the unhealthy foods the best I could. I started having problems about 10 years later with cholesterol and it was determined it was more hereditary. I refused the medication and I took out all the animal products from my diet and revisited my old diet. I was fortunate, because this doctor created, with all those books, a diet that met my needs based on the test results. There are more doctors that believe and practice this way 40 years later, so I would seek out one that will work with you. I watched other family members, shoot insulin, go blind, have open sores, loose feet, etc. If it can be avoided if one has discipline and the desire for good health.

I'm just under 50% of watching your video and already like it. I've studied nutrition and fitness for over 40 years (I'm 52 now). When I began in the 70s, my mom taught foods and nutrition in a 4-H group. At the time, the standard food plan for good health in the US fo was 4-4-3-2. This translates to number of servings from each food group: 4 fruits/veggies, 4 grains/cereals, 3 dairy, 2 meat (includes red meats, fish, poultry, eggs). I have also taken multiple anatomy/physiology courses and completed college coursework for which I received a diploma in Nutrition and Fitness. Along the way I have also learned that too much protein in not only bad for you, but your body has trouble absorbing it and therefore send you to the bathroom more often to eliminate the excess. Whole I am not a raw foodist or vegetarian, I still try not to overeat meat products. While my body does have trouble absorbing and maintaining protein, I know I can, and do, use fruits, vegetables (including greens, which are part of vegetables group), herbs, nuts/seeds, and grains (such as oatmeal) to increase my intake. I also know from personal experience (self and friends and family), as well as research, that most prescription drugs have a plethora of side effects, which in many cases cause more problems than the initial ailment. I also have trouble maintaining many minerals, like potassium and calcium, plus vitamin D, so I have to make sure to keep my diet rich in these things, which primarily comes from fruits and veggies. I also understand how important fats/oils are, as they are needed to protect vital organs (including the brain, which is primarily fatty tissue) and to maintain proper balance of fats/mosture in skin, hair, and nails. I do also consume seaweeds (like spirulina), green juices (if on-the-go, I like Bolthouse juices because they include some of the fiber too, like green juice, berry juices, and veggie derived protein drinks), and wheatgrass juice. I try to follow the Mediterranean nutrition chart to ensure better health. Thank you for your very informative video. Shalom

I have a book about herbs from the 1970's which states that people through the centuries ate herbs and wild foods (we call them weeds now) in soups, casseroles, teas and medicines. They made things like "pottage", which is a term for a thick soup or stew made by boiling vegetables, grains, and, if available, meat or fish. Greens were a staple of life.

I love this video. I love the intro music too! The time you put into sharing your knowledge is SOOOO appreciated. My goal is to never have to set foot in a grocery store again. My research has shown that these food manufacturers put specific "poisons" (in already chemically sprayed, overcooked, nutritionless, irradiated food) These poisons cause specific ailments. Then these food corporations own pharmaceutical companies that specialize in treating those ailments that their ingredients create. Nestle is one. Warren Buffet just purchased all the Kroger groceries as well as Bio Pharma... coincindence? Look at the Commercials: junk food, Pharma, junk food, Pharma and repeat. I wish people would wake up to being duped. Here, you give us a $35, Life filled, Amazing, Beautiful, gourmet salad...for FREE!!! and you know what they say,,, The Best Things In Life Are FREE!

I'm listening with interest, about 20 minutes in. But I want to say that I have NEVER gotten tired from eating turkey. The Thanksgiving meal?...yes, but that meal had sides of mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes smothered in marshmallows, yeasted rolls, pie... When I isolate pure animal protein, I have nothing but clean energy. I imagine everyone responds in varying ways to foods.
@dorothysay8327
@dorothysay8327 4 жыл бұрын
Jimvesterstallone exactly. It’s NOT THE MEAT that makes you tired! It’s the carb explosion on the side. This video is jacked.
@tigerlilly6895
@tigerlilly6895 4 жыл бұрын
What he is saying is correct... Turkey is packed with the amino acid tryptophan which is one of 20 naturally occurring amino acids-the building blocks of proteins. Because the body is unable to manufacture tryptophan on its own, it must be obtained from food protein and so when you eat it your body's really working to break it down.
@Jimvesterstallone
@Jimvesterstallone 4 жыл бұрын
@@tigerlilly6895 Turkey making you sleepy is a myth. Tryptophan IS needed to make serotonin; serotonin is essential to create melatonin; and melatonin makes you sleepy. But beef contains more tryptophan than turkey, and chicken does, too (next after turkey is fish, but the highest is actually nuts and seeds). Throughout the week, I eat one or more of these items every single day, yet I am *never* sleepy after eating...not since dropping the high-glycemic carbs. _You have to consume carbs along with your protein source of tryptophan to feel groggy, because tryptophan requires assistance from carbs in order to boost serotonin._ "'Tryptophan is quite high in milk and turkey, but that's not the food that will give you the serotonin boost,' she says. It's a small, all-carbohydrate snack -- no more than 30 grams of carbohydrates -- in combination with the tryptophan stored in your body from food you've already eaten that will give you the biggest boost of serotonin, Somer says" (Elizabeth Somer, MA, RD). So I guess the key is to consume those foods in isolation instead of pairing them if you want to maintain energy, or eat the high carb food in isolation some time after the protein if you want to induce asleep.

The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. And he said, “Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” “I’m running away from my mistress Sarai,” she answered. Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” Genesis 16:7-9

I second Larry land, nobody wants to give credit to the only book ,The Bible! God who created the Heavens and the Earth placed all these plants and trees for our food. Sin cause us to eat Flesh! That’s why we don’t know.

For Firefighters, I'll say look for Engine 2 Diet. It was written in the battle for the life of one of my Ex husbands co- workers. I've battled health issues that I thought was from genetics but turns out it's bc of contaminated drinking water. Juvenile diabetes, Lupus, Brain tumor, Thyroid Disease, etc. I've contacted Erin Brockovich Ellis who has verified everything that I wondered about, was true! I say that just FYI bc I've met another retired guy who researched for 30 years and he said 95 to 98% of all brain and breast tumors have parasitic egg sacs as core to the tumors. Hmm. My mRI report said the brain tumor was 4 X 7 cm and 50% cyst but I also had 2 cysts 2.5 X 1.25 cm. I can't believe how big of a hole I have in the brain now. I'm just glad I survived the treatments. Now I'm planting lots of seeds to germinate so there's lots of food in a few months.

I have a nutritionist that has a special healthy way to eat. He has eaten raw for fifty years! I juice, have a salad with avocado, not fruit, that fills a serving bowl. I chew my food really well, and rarely have gas. I eat quinoa for breakfast every other day , the other days I eat a quarter of a # of fruit and a small hand full of nuts or 12 oz. of juiced greens, which includes an Apple. I am pre diabetic. My numbers have gone down! I can have 4 oz. meat or fish or beans with rice, three times a week! My blood work has shocked my doctor in a good way! I feel so much better, energy, people remark that my skin glows and lost 35 pounds! The only problem I have had is they put dairy on smooth skin veggies and Trader Joe’s puts a wax with soy on their organic apples. I have an intolerance and became very ill. My naturopath tested my food. Now I have to peel my apples, and cucumbers . I stopped eating peppers.

Your lecture is so informative. I am encouraged once again. May I make mention of this fact, that in the very first chapter of Genesis, in the Bible, viz chapter 1 verse 29, God took Adam to the field and showed him the herbs of the field and told Adam "this shall be as your meat". This was God's perfect will for our lives. A few chapters later viz chapter 9 of Genesis, God instructs Noah, after the flood that he MAY now eat meat 'BUT'. Here's the condition, 'but'. This is God's permissive will for our lives. My question is : So which one would you choose. God's perfect will? or His permissive will, for your life? You choose. All I say is that for our bodies to digest meat, it's flesh against flesh which is a sure ager for our bodies. After all, we don't possess a cast iron stomach nor do we have a stainless steel blender in our stomachs to blend the meats we eat. Lol. Keep up the good work. Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your talk, and 10/10 for ya mama. I salute her!
