I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact in this episodes (2x12), Jeff calls Abed brown Jaime Lee Curtis...which ends up being the actor he impersonates in Episode 12 of season 3. Harmon's foreshadowing is bar none.

Like this is the same crew that had a brief Beetlejuice cameo after the name was said three times across three seasons. I'm inclined to believe this was done on purpose.

Actually, NOT... I love Community a lot. I watched this recently on Amazon Prime and I can completely understand why it failed on network TV. This series is more suited for web series on streaming services such as Prime, Netflix and others. For the same reasons you mentioned above. It's fast paced and hilarious but not in your face humor. It takes some level of warming up from viewers point of view. For me, it took rewinding wherever I felt I missed the funny part and I still missed many of them. Imagine this on network TV. Even though writing is hilarious, it is not the kind of humor which is easy to grasp. That is not good for a show on network TV.

@@chanchalnishanth8117 basically just like the first 3 seasons of Arrested Development. The show has to be binge-watched (several times) in order to catch the subtlest jokes and references (like the Buster hand thing, so many jokes across multiple episodes culminating in an epic fashion), which in 2005, wasn't doable at all.

@Nesenda - I wouldn't say it was just that. There was a clear drop in the quality of the writing after season 2 and Chevy's drama with Dan made the situation worse (Dan leaving for a season and then Chevy gone forever). It was then made even worse with Donald leaving in the same season as Chevy, and Yvette leaving later. It was still an entertaining show, but considering it didn't have that large of an audience, the drama, and departures NBC felt it wasn't worth it.

Same here. Man I miss the show for scene like this I wiped out the finale and couple of last seasons from my memory wish writers has some time off when they tapped out of ideas may be even has some platform where they can ask fans to come up with ideas royalty free they can use.

One thing I hate about Big Bang is that, according to the audience, every line is absolutely hilarious when in fact, none of it is. It's a lazy, derivative, formulaic, uninspired, lowest-common-denominator pile of manure for people lacking the ability to appreciate something better, which, I'm sorry to say, describes the vast majority of my fellow Americans. This is how trite messes like Big Bang manage to sail along for 10 years while gems like Community ever struggle to "find an audience."

The statement "Big Bang is funny" is funnier than the show itself.

@MrTheKunzer, They actualy do film it infront of an life audience, but they get some stand up comedy first so they are in a good mood and when they dont laugh enough, the laughs are just edited in.

You know there's also cue cards for the audience for when to laugh and aww and such
