We just took deliver of our Grader Blade from DELEKS® for our Compact Tractor, a Kubota B1600D. this is the 130cm version which fits perfectly and weighs 110Kg which is a perfect counter balance for the FL300 Front loader.
Unpacking, assembly and then a good test on the off grid property removing the soil we dug out with our mini excavator in the last video.
Ian & Julie are building their tiny homestead and soon to be starting the biggest project of their lives - a Passive House Container Home which will be totally off grid.

Oh for god's sake Julie, you are tempting me buy another implement 🤣 Just started a pond project with the mini digger and still have to re gravel the drive, needs about 40 tonnes I think. This would help 😁

You have me thinking now.......That grader blade could really be useful for me....I have a sloping field and I want to make paths (tracks really) across it......I was thinking back actor and do it the hard way........but this blade might be ok for what I need.......(I have a 3 pt linkage rotovator that could chew the soil and grass up) So I could simply run along the top of the path pushing it over onto the lower part of the path...lowering/building until I have the right height. The 3 pt back actor I was looking at is a middle of the road version and Is 3,000 odd Euros...........that blade at 620 Euros looks a lot better of a deal.

@@HomesteadingUncontained I tried to buy one in Poland, looks like I will have to order the Deleks product.....just couldn't find one here at any price. Box graders yes, but not one of these........I made my own box grader with heavy angle iron and I made a concrete in a plastic box weight for it.

@@Pinzpilot101 The Deleks is holding up really well. I am pulling twice the amount my front loader can handle. It was a very good buy. Still trying to get those forks from Sanko in Poland. 🤨

Joking - It is pretty tough and I have been moving tonnes of earth including large rocks. It is doing what I wanted it to do and I do not think I will need to rent a larger machine. I just keep chipping away.

You need to tighten all the bolts up, not enough threads protruding through the nuts. I used to work for a nut about manufacture and the rule was 1.5 threads poking through the nut for security. Also need to check torque loading on bolts so they don't prevent movement when required Julie has her right hand on a cross member coming from the hitch point which connects to the actual blade the lower bolt does not look tight at all 5.17 in the video

@trevorhall4748
@trevorhall4748 Жыл бұрын
@@HomesteadingUncontained Check all of them as some looked to be only just starting in the threads. With the nyloc nuts( ones with nylon collars. Tip now blue for metric threads and white normally for English/American threads)the thread of the bolts needs to have a good bite in to the nylon so that they don't vibrate loose, same applies to all metal nuts, general rule is 1.5 threads poking through. Some bolts may not be long enough to allow for this. In those cases, use a torque wrench. When you tighten them make sure you don't do too much as the joints may not articulate properly. Great videos and good to watch👍 Kind regards Trevor I have edited an earlier reply
