Wise advice : You'll meet 100 Gardeners and 300 ways of doing the same thing , none is particularly right or wrong as long it works for you . The best Teacher is a forever student/learner .

So true. Growing zones, soil type, climate, seed varieties, fertilizer and amendment types, all play a part in the varied outcome of gardens.

Alguna vez se probó a sembrar nabo (daikon radish), junto al maíz o con las "Three sisters"? Oí que accidentalmente se mezclaron semillas de nabo en una parcela de trigo y el resultado fue un inesperado incremento de la cosecha. Funcionará igual con los demás cereales o leguminosas? Y si se suman otros cultivos de raíz se alcanzarán rendimientos aún mejores?

Any idea what to plant next to the Marigolds to stop the slugs eating them? Slugs will be the end of my allotment before I’ve even started 😂

In my opinion, the best defense against slugs is DE / diatomaceous earth.

For any county in Texas, your best option is the local Master Gardeners association, a program of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.
