When I try to save I get an message that the starting positions are in the same sector. How do I assign sectors? Or am I doing something wrong? The start/enry points are at the same location as in your vid. So they are far apart from each other.

@Romanov131 same i think youve got to find the omaha beach map in the campain folder and then drag it where you save world builder maps

Awesome tutorial, thank you. One question though, do you have to build seperate zones for each fuel, ammo, etc point, or is that just automatically seperated by the roads you built?

all games should have a map editor/builder just like this especially battlefield games that would just shoot off the mapping and modding that is already ablaze with thousands of mods

How do you play your maps

@vasi go to "program files (x86)" and copy and paste the THQ folder into "program files". This may take about 20 minutes. Then it should run fine. That's how I did it anyway.

M8,watched ur vid lastnite,sat up for 6 hours makin my first map and am about to submit it for online play.. That is definately the qiuckest transition ive ever had. Cheers ma man!

@isschen If you have tales of valor then you should already have the map editor. The editor was added in an early patch before opposing fronts. Check wherever you installed tales of valor.

@Snakeprix you need to set areas first so youi have separate starting locations resorce points and stuff like that

It is in the directory where the game is installed.

Go on your map in World Builder. Click a button called 'TEP' click it and press 'Calculate Volinoni' or something.

@TheBonkill Select whatever object you want to delete hit the delete key.

Map editor/builder comes with the game. Look in it's install directory for a file called WorldBuilder.exe

its in the game folder it will be worldbuilder.exe up with a red on white document icon

@Legodevil12345678 No you just have to add the -dev extension to your company of heroes shortcut. Then load the map up as a skirmish.

after you patch up to, I believe, 1.3 you will have world editor in your C:\program files\THQ\Company of Heroes folder. (if it isn't the 1.3 patch, just go ahead and patch up to the 1.71 patch like I did.) have fun editing!

Once you saved your sgb file and your ready to play go to... File>Export package it will then convert your map into a playable file called sga which is used in the game. You should be able to play your map in game now. Please msg me if you have any questions

this editor reminds me very much of battlecraft editor for battlefield 1942 nice and simple as easy as building with legos and sand ^^

I can tell u how to play ur own maps. Theres two ways that i know of, the easiest & least technical is simply to download a mod for the game. Say for instance,the eastern front mod. If u want to know how to do that ill tell u.. once downloaded, most (if not all) mods come with something called the dev command which u find in ur game shortcut. This allows u to play ur own maps because once u make em they automatically save to ur maplist in the game but u hav2 use the mod to gain access to them

Taking a guess here, and I've never used world builder, but how many sectors do you have? If you haven't declared any sectors yet, maybe world builder thinks the entire map is one giant sector.

For some reason when i go into the terrain properties, i cant see everything. the bottom portion of the screen is below my task bar and i cant get it up...

@builder802 nop only if your friend download the map from you or the player or you have to play witch cpu

@Miisterkato You can only do this with the retail version of company of heroes. You can't do this to my knowledge with company of heroes online.

I'm sorry to bother you again. But it now I have trouble saving the game. I did what you did in the vid. I assigned two starting positions and two entry points. Under the sector "current" I assigned them seperatly to player one and two. When I try to save I get an message that the starting positions are in the same sector. How do I assign sectors? quick question i need to be answered, whenever i raise / lower the land or create water everything that i have done goes invisible whnever im clicking makes it very difficult to create terrain changes

i've got this error when saving!: Map error! There are more than one sector -creating entities in the same sector. The following points can not share a sector: -ebps\gameplay\starting_position (position: -132.882, 135.472) -ebps\gameplay\starting_position (position: 130.208, -137.372) Why is this happening if i followed all the tutorial steps?! Jus create a starting position and a map entry point, and assigned it to each player, what i'm doing wrong¿? Really thaks in advance.

how come whenever i pick a different base color its some weird blue when its suppose to be green?

I have made a heap of maps, but I have a problem, everytime i load a map the worldbuilder makes the terrain highest graphics, meaning 3d grass everywhere. I use overdraw terrain to fix this, but I was wondering if there is a better way, or something I can do to fix this. thank you in advance.

You should save your map in documents/mygames/company of heroes/ww2/data/scenarios/MP. if any of these folders does not exist, add them manually. make sure you have all necessary gameplay objects shown in the tutorial, otherwise you won't be able to play your map!!

hey so i was just making the river through the map when it suddenly scrolled really quick off screen and in to just a black area... any way to get back on track or do i have to restart? i have tried double tab backspace didnt work

i got a problem, when i set out my starting positions and entry points i save the game incase it crashes or something like that, but when i save the game it says the starting positions is in the same sector, i try to move them more away from eachother but still it doesnt help. i made another map and it works fine there but on this one it doesnt:/. anyone know why?
