Across Europe, the VW Touran ranks as one of the top five MPVs in its class. More than a million have been sold around the world. The Touran has been around since 2003, but underwent a major facelift last year. Now Chevrolet is hoping its Orlando can grab some of Volkswagen's market share. The American carmaker launched the Orlando in Europe earlier this year. Its design is unusual: half minivan, half crossover with flared wheel arches. And the Chevy's starting price is significantly lower than the Touran's. But will that be enough to overtake the VW? drive it! puts both MPVs through their paces.

All I can say is that my parents owned the 163bhp Orlando and it served them well. Now I’m having kids of my own it’s still alive and kicking and will be used for my family now. Can’t offer much higher praise than that.

Orlando гораздо лучше. Вещи надо уметь правильно складивать, чтоб в багажник помещались. А у Фольца ценик очень задран. Народным стал как раз Орлик.

The rest was a little unfair as the VW was tested with the 170bhp engine, compared to the Chevrolet’s 130bhp. In the uk we get 163bhp Diesel engine too. That would have still undercut the VW and put in performance figures closer to the VW.

after test driven the touran I can honestly say what a solid and sturdy car to drive, you CANNOT compare it to French cars. That's coming from a Peugeot 5008 owner..in short I've traded it in with touran and boy it's premium..

At least in Europe you can get the Diesel models. From the North American reviews I've researched so far - both models (normal gas) are underpowered, but the Orlando far more so.

From the look itself ORLANDO way much better, even for 2022 standard, i still love the orlando looks. No gimmick, not trying too hard to be modern. A simple but outstanding look.

This test isn't a close call...except for the Chrysler Voyager there isn't one single American car which can stand up to European build quality.

The reason I believe the Orlando was better than VW coz Orlando is a bit of pieces of Chevy & Opel engineering. The looks remind me of Opel Zafira.

Boring but timeless vs. Ugly and still ugly. It's funny with "american" cars of that period, I don't know if it is the was they pressed the body panels or what, but it looks as if the entire exterior is made of plastic.

there isn't single way orlando would be better at, except for outside looks which are up to personal preferences, but again who the hell would buy a car only because of its looks. i like vw simplicity better anyways

Ha ha ! You can hardly compare the build quality of a shitron (citroen) with a Volkswagen, can you ? That is why they are cheaper - they are made much cheaper and don't last as long - plus they drive pretty crap too. handling like a cow on roller-skates.
