@@AAA-cc4pg you’ll be surprise I’m Dominican and Colombia and I came across a lot Dominicans who will say they are 100% Dominican. I will tell them they are actually a mix of European and African and indigenous, some will even get Jewish like I did. But they were in denial of it especially when it came to African dna. Unfortunately there is racism within the latino community and many Dominicans don’t want to accept that they have African dna. I made a short documentary about its crazy some will look very African and they will straight up say “No I’m just Dominican” it’s bizarre.

The ethnic groups of Africa number in the thousands, with each population generally having its own language (or dialect of a language) and culture. The ethnolinguistic groups include various Afroasiatic, Khoisan, Niger-Congo, and Nilo-Saharan populations

So crazy crazy crazy coincidence! I’m Polynesian, (Austronesian) my brother got this test and we saw a little Native American. We assumed it was from my mother but recently I came across an article where it pointed towards my father as where we got the native! So long story short our ancestors met before Columbus sailed to America! We left our taro there and cross bred our chickens! And we brought some South American traditions and legends back home too, and apparently some lovers😂😂. This is so exciting, hopefully you see my comment!

Haplogroup group A2 is a Native American marker. It means you are a direct Taino descendant on your mother's side, cause that marker does not change no matter how much you mix. When Columbus landed on the island one of your female ancestors were there. Most Taino descendants today are A2 and C2. Your brother carries a marker which is dominantly European. Basically you descend from Mestizos who later married African men becoming tri racial Puerto Ricans.

The chromosome that determines gender does not change one's ancestry/ethnicity. Everyone's DNA should be slightly different from full siblings EXCEPT IDENTICAL TWINS. This test has many errors as it is exposed here with these two full siblings that had great differences (faulty) in ancestry AND DNA as well.

I am Puerto Rican creole. I started using the old term because we are not monolithic. One may look at me and think I’m white but I counted 7 flags in my geneology research. I found my ancestors and I know where they come from. I’m taking the ancestry test to get the percentages because even though fam is from Canary Islands we aren’t told that the first settlers were indigenous Canadians known as GUANCHE, so we all have both the indigenous and the later Spanish Portuguese and other colonists that took over the archipelago. The guanche was most like the Berber/amazigh people. So while the percentages show “Spain” it’s because the dna companies designate Canarians as Spanish. Also…another interesting facts is some of our ancestors came through Louisiana, as they settled from the canaries to Spanish Louisiana to get the sugar cane industry started. We BROUGHT SUGAR TO THE WORLD. We are jibaros, we are mulattoes, we are creole, we are pardo, we are mestizo, we are indigenous and we are European. We are everything. Un poco de todo. Wepa. Please do Spanish content I am working on my Spanish as we speak in el campo is considered poor and I am laughed at a lot because I sound “ignorant” you seem Educated we were from the forest side of Puerto Rico in Rincon. Given your ancestry, your brother’s direct male ancestor (progenitor) was from Spain, which I’m sure comes as no surprise to you. If he’s interested in finding out more about the exact part of Western Europe his male progenitor came from he could do the YFULL test and see who he clusters with on the YFULL tree.

Your Y haplogroup is basically Spain or Iberia R-269. Haplogroup A Mtdna is Native American which is all over your faces.

Taino's originally came from South America Taino Data. We speak a form of Kokomo. Called Hiwatahi. Taino people traveled all over. They even came to Florida St. Augustine. We mixed with the Arawaks. My family is from Ponce. Be careful dating Boricuas they can be your cousin.

Lol you guys didn’t even fully go of the paternal haplogroup Y chromosome ... it should say more about of it , I’m pretty sure it’s a subclade of R-m269 , so is mine . 68 percent in Spain , and 60 percent in both Portugal and France also average , peaks in particular regions in countries though

His southern european results mention the canary islands whose indigenous inhabitants were guanches who originated from modern-day Morocco and were exported as slaves to the Caribbean. So in reality its North African.

Here's my question... I know that relatives from Puerto Rico are a majority portion of your matches, but do Black American relatives ever come up as well? Black blood is still black blood and has been transferred here and there. So, does it happen? I'm curious...

@@char08fal I'm also Black American. The reason I asked this question is, because of my 3 genetic groups: 2 are Black American, and 1 shockingly is in Puerto Rico. When I contacted the company (MH) to get more clarity on this, I was informed, "You have Puerto Rican ancestors". My fiance is of Puerto Rican decent too, and her genetic communities are all in Puerto Rico. However, we didn't know about me until after the results of the test. I figure whatever happened must've happened in the 1800's, since genetic groups/communities stretch back even beyond that time period. It is what it is.... Thanks for providing feedback on this.

@@justcallmebrian793that person probably do. America used to have a mixed box for mulatto and even terms for ppl about a quarter African and one drop rule, but when it changed to blk everyone of course say blk which is y u see many blk American dna test say 60/40 European or a quarter European. New my grandma had white ppl after 1865 in the family, but then it’s ppl I found out was considered mulatto and my great grandma looked so called white passing and my grandma literally 60/40 also. Literally being blk in America race term is having obvious west African ethnic, and nobody consider mixed no matter the percentage unless u directly from a parent in another box other than blk.

I wonder if any of that has to do with how under slavery and colonization, the male lines frequently go back to Europe and the female lines frequently go back to Africa or Indigenous American roots.

Not always true. Breeding houses kept Irish slave women to be impregnated by African slave men. Mulatto slaves fetched a higher price than African or Irish.

Guys understand that siblings and other relatives will show ancestry that you might not show but it's obvious you do , it's that DNA test can't show all . Y chromosome is only from the male line and mtdna us the female line.
@flo-xj6sr
@flo-xj6sr Жыл бұрын
Both male & female carry maternal haplogroups, only males carry their fathers haplogroup, aka Y chromosome which makes you a male, so your sister only carries her female line which makes her female & brother carries both female & male haplogroups but males can only pass his father haplogroup on if he has a male offspring & sister will continue her mother line haplogroup, men can not pass their female mother haplogroup line on it stops with them so when your brother has a child with his spouse the child will his spouse's maternal haplogroup group line if it's a girl & boy will have brother's male haplogroup & his mother's haplogroup..Hope I explained it well..

Of course your brother is not white,he does not look it but he has more european then you but it's less then 50%. Now most puerto ricans could be mixed or have varied admixtures(admixture is not same thing as mixed). For example if some only has 1%, 10%,25% etc.. dna of another race that does not mean mixed,that's admixture. There few/some puerto ricans that do not have other race admixture.
