Thanks for these videos. Just bought a 318 locally from a man who had owned it for over 25 years. It's very complete and everything works on it, including all lights and safety switches. Has the grille emblem and even the plastic hydraulic hook-up plugs. He gave me multiple manuals and a binder full of receipts. The hour meter shows around 700 hours, which I can sort of believe to be true since the guy had three other JD tractors to use (two 455s and a newer X570).

Thanks for making all the John Deere video's. It is hard to get info on these old good machines. I have some 110's/112's(RF/SF) a couple 317's and a 140H3 that needs restoration. One day I hope to step up to a 316(onan) or 318 if I can. I look forward to watching your vids on the pre-90 stuff! I am not your only fan and will digress!

Wow, have you ever actually found a perfect 318 with perfect firewall foam?

4:35 Don't be looking in my air filter assembly on my 318. It will NEVER rust because of all the oil.
