Same. I got Windows 10 but it didn't work with my Wi-Fi hardware so I went back to 7, upgraded back to 10 when I got new Wi-Fi hardware and now I'm going back to Windows 7. It really is the perfect OS. Shame that Microsoft tries to cripple it on new hardware, and broke it (perhaps deliberately) on older hardware made before SSE2 was introduced.

This is coming from a non bias point of view. Just got a new PC. And my first thought before I got it was "I am definitely reverting back to Windows 7 once I get that Baby!!". I got the PC....within hours of using -- I realized I was much better off with Windows 10. It's just better in so many ways. I will miss a lot about Win7 especially the great features that Wins10 don't even have -- but a far much better operating system for sure compared to 7. Not even close actually, to my surprised. I sincerely had zero desire to keep 10 before my PC got shipped to me. Zero! But now.....here I am. I am honestly starting to believe that the hate for Win10 is a mere nostalgia for Wins7. But deep down inside they know that Wins10 is better in almost every ways. Best way I can put it at this point.

So I hated Win10 right there on the spot then convinced myself to downgrade to Win7 64 bit the coming weekend! Within 2 days it was wrap and far too obvious that Win10 would serve me far much better than Win7 ever had. So there you go. And I can give you all the details you'd like as well, sir. What software support doesn't Windows 10 have that Windows 7 has? What doesn't Windows 10 support that people "actually care about"? Windows 10 natively supports almost every single thing Windows 7 can do, and performs better on the exact same hardware. All most people do in their OS anyways is use it as an over-glorified program launcher. So therefore, it makes complete sense to focus on the default programs that come bundled with the OS.

when i go win 8.1 (new comp) I disliked it because of lot of "bloatware" etc. however, when I tried the free upgrade to win 110 everything broke! my dvd writer was unusable, my video card crashed, my soundcard buzzed instead of playing music... pure shit from the get go. I tried getting "upgrades" from the parts manufacturers for the driver problems and failed.. why? even hardware manufacturers are still using win 7! when I finally got my computer running in a stable manner (barely) not a single piece of my productivity software worked. I do audio visual editing and content creation but win 10 wants me to be a passive consumer.. fu** that. if I could I would roll back to win 7.. but at least win 10 made me hat 8.1 a lot less than beforte.

Best joker, I agree completely. The ui is fucking horrible. An operating system should be bare, dull, Easy to navigate, and simply be in the background of everything you're doing in general. It doesn't need animated Icons, and panel boxes to click on. It should be a file system.. as an OS should be.. Once windows is completely phased over to windows 10, I'll be running linux. everyone else can give Microsoft all their info, and total control of everything they do on their PC. I'll pass. I like controlling my own shit. Linux is gearing up pretty hard now since they know the windows 7 update deadline is 2020. I've been watching it pretty heavily since windows licker 10 came out. By then, there will be a completely compatible version of Linux with all software/systems/steam/games/etc. I'll be giving Microsoft the finger at that point.

I just thought of another issue that I don't like about W10 - You have to tell the OS that you want to use the built in speakers or a headphone every time you want to go from one to the other. In win 7, when you plugged in the headphones the speakers were disabled and when you unplugged the headphones, the speakers were automatically enabled. Also the volume level on the speakers is about 40% when the mixer shows 100%.

Yup. Also, Vista isn't any slower than Windows 7. It's that the average home PC's hardware wasn't powerful enough at the time of Vista's release to properly. If Windows 7 had released at the time of Vista's release, it would have been the same story, regarding performance. And Vista wasn't that buggy. It's other main problem was that it didn't ship with 3rd-party drivers included in the OS, and the average PC user didn't know how to find the drivers for their hardware and manually install them.

Bottom line: once you have spyware shipped as part of the OS, you can't get rid of it or trust the company that created it in the first place to keep it turned off. The only safe solution is not to use that OS. Saying that privacy in W7,8=W10 is simply wrong.

Κώστας Γεωργίου I unfortunately do know the "spying" can turn itself back on in every update, but it's the same story in Windows 7/8.1. I really don't think a majority of users will care to be honest. The only real solution IMHO if you don't want to worry about Windows spying on you is to Linux.

FakeNinja windows 7 and 8.1 had updates where the same temeletry as windows 10 has got added. Also, why are you so sure that if you disable something in windows, that it completely disable? As we do not have the code , we can't be sure that telemetry is turned off on any Microsoft system.

Search on google windows 7 iso and download the desired windows 7 edition example: professional,ultimate and then download a software called rufus that can make bootable usb drive, after downloaded the software open it and click “select iso file” and you select the windows 7 iso, when the process ended close the program and shut down your pc, then click the startup button and it will boot automatically for the usb, if it don’t boot automatically form the usb, select the usb from the bios. That’s all man! Edit: if you have any important files on windows 10 do a backup on a device like another usb!

Actually today i switched from 7 to 10 i used to hate win 10 but when my 7 started to slow down in a speed, my amd settings weren't opening i had a very good perfomance in games so i decided to swith to win 10 cuz its more optimized for good pc's and it is the last windows and i could open my amd settings again i think windows 10 is overal great operating system just turn off the unesessary things and it will work better than 7.
