I have had a 97 Corolla since 2006 (378K on it now and still a daily driver) and what struck me in your video is that very little had changed by 2010. It's pretty much the same car, just technology changes that kept up with the times. That's no doubt a big reason why Corollas were so reliable.

Sorry, but you're opening about the launch of Vista is revisionist history - they did lower the requirements under pressure from NVidia and few others, but there were still plenty of PC's that matched or beat the true requirements and it ran fine on those machine - also, it was not more or less buggy than 1.0 versions than there other OS's - I would say less so vs previous versions even if following version were usually better out of the gate. BTW - Windows 7 is just Vista warmed over. A nice warming, but still. Most anything people whine about with Vista was trye of 7, but oh my, didn't people treat it differently. Very little of that actually had to do with what the OS was actually like to use. I know, because I remember reading plenty about it, but having a very different experience on my work and (more powerful gaming) home computer. At work, the guy who was our tech guy happen to come around talking shyt about Vista, but me and my boss pointed at your machines and say "its fine - we are running it right now, we don't get the FuD" and he openly admitted to not actually care about it but talked up the issues because he didn't want to support another, new OS and it was easily to tell everyone to stick with XP. I mean - most of 7 is Vista, but some sights called Vista "XP warmed over" and then acting like 7 was this HUGE jump forward. The tech press is not better than Ign/GS/etc. Stop acting like they are.

I drives a 2011 Corolla( basically a facelift 2010), it has some upgrades like a touchscreen which can connect to Bluetooth, climate control and a lil bit better headlights, overall I’d say it’s a perfect commute car for college and your first job. It’s so reliable and low maintenance that it allows me to keep driving it until I saved up enough for something significantly more expensive
