The Mazda CX-5 vs the Mazda CX-30 is a common decision many drivers have to make. The 2024 Mazda CX-30 Select Sport is a new trim with a lot of great features. The 2024 Mazda CX-5 Select is the new standard trim with some upgrades as well. Which one do you prefer?

My brother has a CX-5 because I told him to get it. Now he's married with a kid, so it was a smart choice. As for me, I prefer to stay single, so I have a CX-30.

I have the cx5, my son has the cx30, my daughter down in florida got the kia sedan and now wants to return it. I told her to get mazda she didn't listen. Hope she listens now.😮

I was deciding between MY2023 CX-30 turbo and CX-5 non-turbo, both new and similarly priced. In the end I went with the CX-5. The CX-30 was more upscale inside, and had way more power than what I needed for any practical purposes, but was way too small inside; the driver's seat felt crampt, and I'm a very average size. The CX-5 did feel underpowered, I think mainly because I live at 7000 ft and the lack of forced induction becomes noticable. The interior for me wasn't as premium as the CX-30, but was still very nice, and the extra space made the vehicle more usable for me and more comfortable for road trips. If I had to sum up a comparison, the CX-30 felt more "young and fun"; the CX-5 felt more "mature". I'm very happy with my CX-5 though.

@@Hankman23 I'm in my mid 40s, and drove mostly small zippy cars throughout the years. So for me I feel like I'm finally starting to grow up a bit. Haha

I test drove both of these last fall. The cx30 was sportier and faster, and better looking. Due to the fact we are a family of 4, I went with the cx5 for more space (back seat area of cx30 is VERY small). Im very happy with the cx-5. No complaints.

I think it’s worth noting that the CX-5 has the power seat but still retains manual lumbar. I think it’s noteworthy to have that lumbar support on the “base” model.

For the Android Auto, is it wireless? Does an iPod work with an AUX connection? If not, how about by way of BlueTooth?

The CX-5 is so much classier. Style wise, my CX-3 has so much better lines, vs the Cx-30 with the overdone body cladding. Cx-5 for the win! 🔥🔥👍

The CX3 was replaced in the Mazda lineup with the cx30. I think the last CX3 year was 2021. @@Hankman23

We still have the CX-3 available here in Australia. The CX-3 is a jacked up small SUV version of the Mazda 2 hatch whilst the CX-30 is a jacked up small SUV version of the Mazda 3 hatch.

Hi, I have a quick question about 12 Volt power supply in mazda cx30. Why is it always on even when the car engine is off? What is the purpose of the always on?

That is if you want charge something without running the car. I understand your question though, because you would have to be careful not to drain your battery.

If someone can't afford a Mazda, a used Yaris isn't a bad choice. These vehicles compete in completely different segments of the market. The Mazda interior is in a different universe.
