Appreciate the video. Your chassis rifle is impressively light. That’s been my struggle with those is they seem to mostly be built with competition in mind, not hunting. I had a Hunter for a bit but just didn’t gel with the trigger shape and clunky action. Certainly not the lightest but I’ve been running a compact Tikka 308 lately. Currently a 20” barrel and I’d like to cut it to 16.5” and thread it. Maybe flute the bolt.

If you decide to cut down your 308, you might try the hornady superformance 168eldm ammo. I found it to give pretty impressive velocities, even out of shorter barrels.

How much weight did you save on that mdt stock?

The mdt hnt26 weighs about 31oz in it's factory configuration. I was able to get mine down to approximately 18oz with the non folder stock and 21.5oz with the folder stock. I was able to get an LSS chassis down to about 31oz including a folder stock.
