I recently saw a set of punches that go in a drill press or power drill. I don't know what to make of them, good bad?

so my belt has irregular hole like they are more oval than circular so idk what hole puncher to do

IS the buckleguy press cast iron or aluminum? After watching noted definitely steel. I destroyed a cheap aluminum one simple pressing on a snap. Company refuses to do anything about it. I do have most of my brass from Buckleguy. Just great stuff at good prices.

The press is cast iron. That one in the video has lasted us a while!

Cast iron. Don’t drop it or the cheap cast iron will crack and break in half. Still way better than the aluminum one. The problem with aluminum ones is they use annealed aluminum, not hardened aluminum, so the cast iron ones are better, it just depends on the brand. Some use a cheaper cast iron that is very brittle and has air pockets so it breaks very easily.

What kind of hand strength do you need to use a rotary punch?

It can take a little strength and a few twists sometimes to get a clean cut with a rotary punch. If this this is a concern we would recommend the mallet punches instead, or better yet the hand press.

I’m left handed, I have bent both types of rotary punches. Don’t like them.

They should all work with denim with a good cutting board and sufficient vertical force

You do great videos. You don’t need to say So to emphasize something,we are paying attention or we wouldn’t be watching. It gets a little distracting. Don’t mean to be critical, keep up the good videos.

I bought a 245-7 (supposed to be a 7mm punch) drive punch from cs osborne and the hole it punched is 5.5mm at best. Did not get the punch from Buckleguy. The place I bought it from marketing the #7 punch as a 7mm punch but I learned the hard way that that is not how CS Osborne numbers their punches. I checked the CS Osborne site after the fact and learned that the 245#, ie: 245-7, is not a 7mm punch. CS Osborne measures all their punches in inches and the consumer has to do the conversion. So once again, buyer beware.

Did you get the punch from Buckleguy? The number 7 size 245 belt punch we carry from CS Osborne is supposed to be 13/64" which comes to a little more than 5mm.
