When Edgar asked me to step up and fill in for a driver at Street League I basically pooped my pants. I'd never tandemed with another car before, let alone in a competition format. I was still getting used to the new chassis but it was one of those opportunities that you just can't pass up. I someone got lucky enough to be paired up against the homie Andrew and his white Infiniti Q45 sedan. Literally couldn't have been a better matchup given how well the cars match style wise and how neither of us had any previous tandem experience! All I could think about all day was DON'T CRASH, since the car still had to make the 4 hour drive home. But the time finally came for us to run and all I can say is WOW. Those few minutes were the most fun I've ever had on a track. We both spun...multiple times 😂 and gained the nickname "Spin City" but even within those few laps I could tell we both learned and improved a ton! The entire thing felt surreal, something I'll dream about forever. Granted, I got knocked out first round but a) Didn't crash, and b) Had a BLAST so its an absolute WIN in my books!
