Dog Bather here! That's the joy of the job, cuddling the dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable with you so they feel safe around the equipment. Also, you get free kisses a lot of the time when they're all done!

It's not a big deal and causes the dog no pain when done correctly by a good vet. Weather you want it for working or aesthetic purposes is a different opinion, but home cropping your dog. What the hell were those owners thinking.

In my experience as an animal rescuer/rehabilitator the larger breeds are usually gentle giants, especially great danes. They seem to believe they are purse poodles (tiny teacup breeds) and have zero understanding of their actual humongous size. They just want to be on your lap.

I've tried multiple times to learn how to groom my own fur & scale babies but always fail miserably, except for basic day care. You guys & gals are very talented at what you do & deserve far better praise.

Any dog that is a bully breed or mixed bully breed...especially pit bulls...are always the most abused dogs I've ever seen in all my years of rescue...probably why they are my second favorite breed (Leonburger is 1rst).

I have nothing but respect for this young lady. I cannot clip my dog's claws because of the horrible, hollow, crunchy sound along with the fear of getting too close to the quick. Fantastic work! So much patience.

Me and my mom found trimming our mini chi’s nails to be a two person job. He’s super food motivated so she slowly feeds his chunks of hot dog while I quickly go in and trim. I did accidentally get flesh one time. I felt sooo bad, I sprayed disinfectant on it (we had a specific spray for pets because of the cat, ever try to rub disinfectant into an open wound on a cat? No, we choose life) and have him extra treats and he barely remembered about it

We have a staff X pit bull and she has NO BUSINESS is cutting her nails. It’s a three person job and even then we can only get a few done, most importantly the dew claw on her back legs. She does not stand for it.

my DDB has no problems having his nails clipped, but mastiffs' nails are veined all the way down so it's basically impossible to trim only the "dead" part, and for me it's a huge relief to have it professionally done without harming my big baby in the process 😅

When I still had my pit, I invested in a dremel instead of clippers and I found it significantly less stressful for the both of us, though it does take longer.

I treated the harness of my late bernese mountain dog with a citrus rub. They really hate the taste. Yes, generally citrus is toxic to them but not like chocolate and I did check that up with my vet beforehand

My then 15 pound dog chewed through a "super tough" kong harness for the weight class up, that was fitted in the store, literally over 6ish hours. In two places. She's basically nudist now, we have to just loop the collar over her because she won't wear anything else. : / I plan on trying again now that she is older but probably won't try to leave it on.

@@boooster101 thanks for the suggestion, but sticky tape as a chewing dissuasion doesn't sound smart... 😅 First of all, it's plastic and chemicals, so it's probably ok under a paw but not the healthyest thing to munch on... And an evenrual non toxic one won't be sticky for long whith dog's drool all over it... imagine the mess... 😂 Actually, there's a specific kind of dog training to avoid munching (it's usually stress related, so the key is to lower anxiety with a positive distraction). It's rather easy to learn and worked wonders on my good boy 😁

I love that you included Rosie the pittie mix in the compilation. Pit Bulls are such a cute breed and they need more recognition for that adorable smile of theirs!(if anyone feels the urge to reply being condescending about how they’re real cute when they tear someone’s face off, piss off, Pit Bulls are abused more than any breed and thus if one only knows pain and suffering then yeah they’re more likely to attack though that’s with any dog breed, there are no bad dog breeds, just really bad parents. Rosie here was lucky enough to have good parents adopt her and give her the love and attention she deserves and needed to be her best self.)

I have had 5 Corgis from 1988-2021. 3 Pems, 2 Cardis, all were wonderful companions and such characters. Last one crossed the bridge in 2021. I still miss them all.

If you ever have one come in for grooming, could you do a video on Portuguese Water Dogs, or any dog with very curly hair? My dog is extremely curly and his hair gets things stuck in it all the time, not to mention the matting! He’s very floofy and I want to make sure I’m bathing him correctly. Thank you! 😊
