I really hate when people confuse the definition of Weeb. Weeb- To praise anime and Japanese culture to the point of being a psychopath. or should. say, psychopass. kill me if you just have an interest in anime it doesn't mean you're a weeb, you just have an interested in the art style and such. it's the same thing as being interested in movies

I think its just ignorant trolls baiting anime fans who get too personal with being called a weeb. Smart anime fans know they aren't weebs, because you can like and appreciate something and not be disillusioned with praising it and the culture over your own. Hell, I've been friends (note past tense) with idiots who would shit on weebs... That grew up watching and loving Toonami.

coryinthehouse Cory In The House is not anime more of a lousy live action sitcoms spinoff of That's So Raven from Disney Channel ( whom pointlessly and needlessly makes way too much sitcoms and should go to making new, great, creative and original cartoons like they used to such as Recess, DuckTales, House Of Mouse, DarkWing Duck, Gooftroop, TaleSpin, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, Dave The Barbarian, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers and Gravity Falls and also need to Toon Disney back so it can replace Disney Channel and Disney XD in order for us to see more of it's cartoons and less of it's live action sitcoms and so that Disney will go to making creative, fresh, good and original cartoons like it used and be back in the cartoon making business).

I love how people say "anime is for children" when they've seen their favorite Disney movies on loop since childhood.
@Alvaro-fh5dd7 жыл бұрын
I have not seen a Disney movie since i was a child, so not every single adult watch them. And i am going to probably watch them when i have a kid just for them, to be a good dad. And some animes are extremely strange, they have some explicit porn that its VERY WEIRD, and the majority of them have that Naturo-Dragon Ball Z vibe where the plot is to kill the bad guys with light rays
@candiigurl78937 жыл бұрын
Arturo Sánchez I watch Disney films myself and still love them. I just love animation in general. The purpose of that statement was to point out the irony of what I put in quotes. ^^
@Flaris7 жыл бұрын
It is silly to judge an entire entertainment medium so narrowly,, but some just do it. It's like saying games are for kids or live action shows are for kids or whatever. There are some anime very much focused on small children. But there are also very serious shows for adults. It is an entire medium of entertainment and thus has a spectrum for various shows to fall onto. But some just see "oh animation, that's for kids" and never bother looking into it.
@itsasmoker89917 жыл бұрын
Arturo Sánchez lol what? haha light rays? have you only watched those anime?
@HawkEyeTS7 жыл бұрын
The subset of anime you're talking about (DBZ-like) frequently come from a comic magazine called Shounen Jump in Japan, or one similarly designed for young/teenage boys. For the most part they all have very similar themes of friendship, adventure of some type, and battle, so they tend to have very similar vibes to them. And yes, they tend to be good for young kids because that was the original intended audience. That's the thing people often don't realize about anime, there are a lot of genres and sub-genres just like any media; some are written for kids of various ages or genders, and some are very explicitly written for adults (with a section just being flat out pornography, as you noted). And there are a decent number that are interesting enough to a wide audience, just like PIXAR movies in the US tend to appeal to a wide audience. It's kind of sad that stigma and lack of information early on caused so many negative opinions to form about anime.

Why they haven't given Neon Genesis Evangelion a widespread Blu Ray release I honestly can't understand. It's the like one of the top five most popular anime in existance. They stand to make a fortune off millions of eager fans and they still haven't done it. Even the DVDs have ceased production which is supremely strange. I guess they're just that desperate to boost the rebuild sales.

Darkborne Lines I would say no.As a psychological thriller this show was really not that 'intense',which a great psychological thriller is supposed to make you feel.Also it was kinda easy to guess what would happen next.But I have to say,the technical side of this show is amazing.The visuals and the shoundtrack are really well made.It waas just that the story didn't have that much substance to it. If you want a great psycho-thriller then waych 'Shinsekai Yori'.Its plot is its strongest aspect.It might come as a cheesy Sci-fi series at first,but I can assure u,it is nothing but cheesy.Your thoughts on it at the beginning and at the end of the series will be very different.It has some issues with its charecters,but not too much and has a problem of doing some info-dumps.But actually its worst problem is,ironicly,its technical sides.The soundtrack is fine,but the animation was badly affected by poor budget. But in the end,its a really great show.Id rather have Chris review this than Death Parade.

Hi Chris, love the channel and your reviews. Have a couple of recommendations of some more recent anime that I'd love to hear your opinion on. 1) Made in Abyss - Totally heart wrenching, must see though, probably most beautiful anime I've seen. 2) Dororo - Another extremely well animated show, story is very well done and short. 3) Assassination Classroom - What got me to really understand the depth that anime can get to. 4) Hunter x Hunter - Really well done Shonen 5) JoJo - so many memes, but such unique animation and some great humor
