In real life HEAT from RPG-7 can kill man in area of 5-10m but it would be compression damage (turning all visceral's into porridge) and smal fragments of warhead.

Actually I think Fragmentation could be used on light armor to pierce the wheels and immobilize it.

Until now I usually just prayed to Jamsheed the RPG God and ask him to lead my rockets to victory, but after seeing that you can range and lead the targets without yelling QUICK RANGE ON BRAVO MARK SQUAD LEAD I have ascended.

I know it's a mil sim but I was caught off guard that the indicators actually let you judge speed in a way to. Usually I never trust the measurements on optics but in squad I do.

It has not, lead with same speed will be different on each distance, vertical bars need to estimate the distance more precisely and other way. If u know size in length of target with some math and amount of crossed bars u getting more accurate distance

Seeing those LAW sights make me nostalgic to my Time in infantry. We rolled with finnish Kes-88/66 -weapons that are pretty much copies of those LAWs. I remember by heart how to deploy one from storage to combat configurstion in 4secs and i also have a picture of me with five of those things on my back 😂 they were surprisingly handy things

Thank god for this! Been playing since V9 and always relied on my own practice and experience to take shots. Which was always a struggle since the changes to the rocket ballistics and damage models have been drastic over the numerous updates. Now I know there’s some consistency I can rely on.

Now with official release, V1.0, we still don't have a fix for incorrect offline vehicle damage, reloading an unloaded RPG animation, nor rockets stopped by a leaf on a tree.

9:55 - 10:00 your claim about round dealing more damage is incorrect. All NON KINETIC rounds - HEAT & Tandem - will do full damage if they can penetrate armour.

Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm hearting this for visibility so people get the right info. I relistened to myself and I do say that, despite trying to make the point that LAT does less damage than HAT. Penetration = damage, but if you penetrate with a LAT you're still only doing LAT damage, which isn't that helpful against a tank.

@@MoiDawg no problem my man. It gets more complicated when you start involving layer armor, but that's not the point of the video. However, as a brief example for anyone reading this, uparmored warrior's armor plates will reduce incoming damage to a certain degree even if full penetration occurs (armor plate + hull penetration).

* First cross on PGO sight is bore sight, not 50m * Speed in PGO sight in in Kilometers, not miles (1,6 times smaller speed)

I was waiting for the tandem 50m since you first brought up that scope. One more very important thing is to always call out on local to clear backblast. Also, never fire before checking the set range.

*I'm an "experienced" AT player, if you see me in a game 95% of the time i'm on AT and I THANK you for this gudie man, I didn't know you could use bino's for ranging like that and the ones fitted to range for infantry or vehicles, as well as tips for shooting the ammo rack from the top of the vehicle.*

10:56 That is an awesome attention to detail by the developers of the game. Actual rocket rounds by type have different maximum effective ranges. Typical anti-tank rounds have further maximum effect ranges.

@@Yoyokyn121 Correct. You're also supposed to aim into the wind because the warhead is fin stabilized and will turn like a weather vein. It's very counter intuitive IRL.
