Nah, this is for the 10%ers. The 1%ers use military-grade gates designed to prevent tank ingress 'cause they know it's only a matter of time.

I wouldn't doubt the install cost alone being 10,000. Not including the price of the gates, post, any other equipment and supplies. Nobody around here wants to pay to have it done like that. They want two holes with concrete.

I am having this done currently to my driveway. It looks like over kill but it is not. I have had heck with sagging gates in the past. I have reset my gate and post 2 times in 7 years. I am over it and I am into over kill construction. Mine is 4x4 steel welded post with 2 kickers coming off of it. if it sags .. well.. I am not exactly sure what I will do...lol

You need to weigh up how much _your_ time is worth, against how much professionals will charge for their time - then take into account the fact that it'll likely take you 3-4 times longer than it would the professionals, and the very real likelihood that you'll need to buy extra components to replace the ones you break if you DIY.

Why bolt the bracket to the angle iron and waste your time drilling holes? Wasn't that a welder I saw you using 😝
