Those type of operators generally have a key that fits into a hole on the cover for release.

Not impressed. if you bolt things on, it's not the same as all welded gates.

I am having this done currently to my driveway. It looks like over kill but it is not. I have had heck with sagging gates in the past. I have reset my gate and post 2 times in 7 years. I am over it and I am into over kill construction. Mine is 4x4 steel welded post with 2 kickers coming off of it. if it sags .. well.. I am not exactly sure what I will do...lol

So anal! I just glued mine down to a flush cut wood stump with liquid nails and it seems to be fine. I did the same thing when securing my garage 900 lb steel jib crane. I’m going to test it today with a 1,000 lb. drum of ammonium nitrate. You need to live your life and stop using levels, concrete and other fancy doodads. Haven’t you seen the super glue commercial where the guy hangs freely from his hard hat? Glue and Scotch tape are the keys to my shop success. I don’t touch gimmicks like concrete, welding sticks and expensive bolts. I use glue and tape. You must watch the fake news. Go Trump!

*So far quite easy to install and the solar system is a bonus. **do7.pl/kit** The gate is located far from the house and no electrical outlet. Instructions on manual booklet is very clear and easy to follow, just need to add keypad, great product and affordable.*

The 4 hole 1" flange sealed bearing generally hold up for 15-20 years with normal uasge. No thrust bearing needed.

You can reduce the gap to about 1/2" but not less. The gates expand and contract. Best to use adjustable hinges to get it close. Gate Depot makes the best hinge kit available: www.gatedepot.com/gate-hardware/swing-gate-hardware/duragate-dgt-hk-hinge-kit

The gate seen in this video was not properly installed. It has too much gap. 1/2" - 3/4" looks good.

@@EcstaticFilms how about the gap from the post to gate? I’m thinking of doing gate depot gate for my side house instead of a fence what we have now and we just like privacy and was concerned about gaps to where people can see in.

@@DdDtenyou can weld some material like ¾" or 1" tubing in the section between the hinges on the gate or the gate post but you would need to leave with gap for it to be able to open. Has to be a little space.
