The long awaited full gear list is here!! Apologies that it's so dang long as I have a tendency to ramble on. Linked below you'll find my lighter pack! Happy to say I have a base weight of roughly 16lbs.

Nice❤ Always enjoy a good gear video having my coffee 😊 You definitely sound sorted and ready for the AT. I loved the joy you showed talking about your Stanley pot, THAT to me shows it’s a great gear choice for you and the bear can too, less stress will definitely imho help you complete this. It’s my pet peeve at the moment with some KZfaqrs and hikers I’ve met that push their UL beliefs and criticise others for their gear. I pick my gear on what I love, what works and gives me peace of mind….. then the weight is considered. Baseweight is just a number, what matter’s is your happiness. 🙂Good luck Rissa 👍

I have the same Stanley pot!! I’ve had it for like 8 years. I also love it despite how much it weighs. I think I’ll carry it with me forever!

Base weight sounds good. I'm one of those folks that likes the thought of ultra-light gear, but dislike the cost and comfort trade-off. The good thing is you won't have to carry a ton of food since resuppling is fairly simple,.. except in Maine when you'll be rockin' it.

Yes! I'm happy with where I'm at! Agree that the cost and comfort are a big deterrent for ultra light gear.

Don’t you take any sass from those who don’t like your Stanley! Your hike, your choice!

So far no sass! Quite surprising. Actually, a few people recommended Stanley as my trail name 😂 We'll see once I get out there

Wrap duct tape around one of your poles it repairs all kinds of things. It was used to repair holes in the wings on planes. You might want to to carry 2 - 1 1/2 L smart water bottles you look short on water storage

You remind me of my younger self. I love that you’re taking a bear can and love your stove very much. I like hot food HOT. And love the used clothing idea. Very thorough video. Looking forward to your hike.😊❤

I have the same power bank and I adore it , every time we go backpacking I take it because I take a lot of pictures and that drains my phone. My husband always laughs at me because I’m taking it but to me it’s my luxury item.

Looks great! I find there's an important balance of weight, comfort, and recovery. I try to find that ideal Venn diagram slice that allows me to: travel fast and unencumbered, be relatively comfortable and safe, AND to have enough items to allow me to rest and recover so I can reduce the chance of injury and improve performance. Don't overlook that recovery aspect! Those xero shoes are light but for me personally I need thicker recovery sandals to keep my feet healthy. I defer to crocs on this aspect which gives me a bonus of toe protection when I'm putting around camp. The cork ball is clutch! Have fun out there and best of luck.

I actually think I'm going to switch them out with a pair of rubber off brand Birkenstocks I have. They're actually lighter and way more comfortable just wish they packed down smaller.

I find keeping them strapped on the outside let's them dry and gives you the opportunity to throw them on at river crossings. I have those birks and they are super comfy!

Carbon fiber vs aluminum is the difference in trekking pole prices. Carbon $50-$55. Aluminum about $30.

Hi Marissa I section hike on The Appalachian Trail to my poo kit instead of hand sanitizer I purchased off of Amazon the Clorox Hand Sanitizer spray especially to protect against Novo Virus it only a few bucks. I’ve been using those Cascade Treking poles I love them I never had an issues with them. I also have that Stanley cup I only use that for long day hikes but that pot is bomb proof I love that as well. I’m a little unsure of carrying the bear canister I carried one for the first time on the JMT and I thought I would die with that extra weight the National parks require it I’m sure you know that already Good luck to you Happy Trails

I'm bringing camp soap because they do encourage hand washing as the best way to prevent norovirus, but I'll have to look into that hand sanitizer! The bear canister is definitely heavy! I was conscious to cut weight to make up for it. They can also be tricky to pack, but I haven't had any issues yet.

I love it! It's 20 degrees, and I've used it down to 28 degrees and stayed nice and toasty even without putting on extra layers. I will say to actually measure yourself! I just went with regular width, but I honestly might should have gotten the narrow. I have to cinch the pad straps all the way down to keep it in place. Not an issue, but something to consider.

The bear can makes more sense to me. I'd think that hanging a bear bag would attract bears where the bear can won't.

I didn't hear you mention a pillow. Do you have a nice envelope/stuff sack/pillow strap to stuff with hoodie & clothes? (Pillow strap is out of stock on GGG, but they are available at their website.) Sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know.

I forgot to mention that! I use my puffy inside of my buff. I'm not much of a pillow person in everyday life (my pillow is PAPER thin and I only use the corner😅) so I don't need anything too fancy.

If I had a nickel for every time somebody said that blowing into a sleeping pad causes mold.... This has been disproven time and time again years ago.
