I got the Florencia and Calle 23 and they are so Amazing! You can absolutely tell they are high quality/upscale hotel through the vents type of smells lol. I can't wait to light them and see the HT with my testing.

They all sound wonderful! Actually when it comes to floral or perfume scents, I think a soft scent is preferred! I think I'd like to try Calle 23. That combination is enticing!

I'm on the east coast. So by buying the sample trio including the shipping I'm looking at $11.43 per oz. But If I buy all 3 fragrances in their 16 oz bottles, the price per oz drops down dramatically to $4.66 per oz even with the shipping included. I am a huge fan of 1617 and I trust the quality of their products no questions asked. While I am sure these oils are highly worth their price, the amount of money spent on the testing phase alone will be ridiculous if you buy the 1 oz bottles. But I wouldn't mind just buying the large bottles from the start to do my testing especially because once you've reached the point where you know your wax well enough to have narrowed down the amount of wicks that work well with it it reduces your testing a lot. You won't waste as much product as if you were starting from scratch on day one. Plus Vanessa gives you great starting points so following her advice will definitely help even more to reduce the amount of testing. And obviously these would have to be for a luxury line. There is a market out there for these types of products and it's bigger than we think ❤

I wanted to try these but the shipping was a little too much for me right now. I’m still wick testing, but once I get settled I’m considering trying in a luxe or special occasion line. They all sound good! Thanks

Yes I would definitely only use these for a lux line once you have done your initial wick testing to find your base wick!

I'm sure they're beautiful scents and high quality but definitely expensive. Starting at $7.50 and $8.50 for 1 ounce! I love 1617, have used their West Coast jars for my lux candles since I started my business. If I tried these scents I'd have to keep them to a really lux line and just the cost of the FO's would hike the sell price up. The Flaming Candle and Candle Science have wonderful FO's that are just as nice and much more affordable.

I just bought Alastair and Katmahndu, I haven't received them as of yet but cannot wait to make candles with them!!! I have been trying to find one of your videos to try to find a scent I am sure you talked about. I think you called it cashmere sweater? I don't remember if that's correct or even where it's from, I can't seem to find it ,I would appreciate you telling me if you remember.

The price point they came out at is insane. Definitely not worth the cost, and it looks like they figured that out with the moist recent one, which is at a much more reasonable cost, but still high. The original ones, should be around 40 like the new one, not the 70 dollar tag.

I totally get it! I wouldn’t use these scents to do a ton of wick testing with. I would only test it when you found a wick that works with other scents you have tested, you may still need to adjust, but you wouldn’t need as much oil as you would when doing initial wick testing

What you could do is use the same vesse and wick as Vanessa used and the same wax and you won't have to wick test.
