Excellent video, informative and a display of watchmaker skills. At Baselworld two years ago Glashutte Original had a watchmaker doing the same thing along with another person putting a dial together, applying indices and hands and markers. Marvelous to watch such fine motor hand skills, precision tools. Looking forward to the next video.

Great to watch! I just dropped off my Deepsea at the Rolex repair center in Dallas, TX for a complete overhaul. My watch was making the same strange noise when shaken. 8 weeks turn around, so I'll wear my Presidential until it's finished! Cheers!

Thank you Torture! Regular maintenance is very important (every 5 to 7 years) Unfortunately the maintenance of these timepieces is very expensive.

Although really in the grand scheme of things if it’s over 3 years old according to Rolex it’s due for a Service to the movement. I’m subscribed now. I’ll have the check out your other videos. The watch has not been serviced for to long. The lubricants are completely dried and ensure the wear.

How much does this repair cost for the customer? And do you know how much this would cost at RSC? I hear that the 3130 and this movement have this issue. Is that true?

Count on about 1000 dollars in a RSC.

@@therealwatchdoctor Thank you! Spoke to someone with a 3130 and they paid 1100 for movement repair, new crown, and new aluminum insert. He told me that it would of been a little more if had not refused a polish. Apparently they won’t polish if you ask them not to and that takes the price down a little bit. I am sure they did other things like pressure test, gaskets and so forth. Not bad. He hadn’t serviced his 10 years.
