Complete transmission oil flush of Mitsubishi Lancer 2008
Easy way to complete transmission fluid change (Flush) in 10 mints
Procedure
1.Suction oil from transmission dip stick with a motor or you can open the pan cap
2.fill it with same amount with new ATF OIL
3. disconnect the inlet hose of transmission oil cooler and connect it to oil pump and turn on the engine... You can do this step even without suction pump, bc when you turn on the engine, it will pump out the oil
4. Wait till you see the new oil comes out and then stop the engine
5. Refill it with same amount oil that came out recently and check the level,it should be at cold (C) area
6.turn the engine on and let it get worm to operating temperature and shift the gears and check the level, it should be at hot (H) area, if it wasn't, fill it up till it gets there

Why not use one line for old fluid to pump out, and other line to pump fluid in using the TRANSMISSION PUMP. Only need to unhook 1 line from cooler. Keep the rad tran cooler in the loop. That's how I do it. When old comes out, new will be drawn in by tran pump. Cycle through gears.

Aren't you suppose to hook up he machine in such a way that it is replacing the old fluid while the new fluid is going in? Isn't that why there is another tank labelled NEW?

Good video but I'm not a fan of videos that have no sound. Many subtleties are missed by just viewing a fairly complicated process like this - like choosing the proper side of the hose after cutting it. You used the fluid flow in the clear tube to determine that and that is not something everyone would get or understand the importance just by viewing. Additionally you could have attached to the rubber hose and not its nipple and that would have allowed you to get the fluid out of the cooler that is built into the radiator resulting in a more thorough flush. Not sure where your new fluid jar ever got used either. Seems like your machine is simply a vacuum pump? I think you meant liter and not litter! Overall great job Ali! I liked it.

This is not a transmission flush. Much easier if you remove the drain plug which does the same thing without buying that electric pump. Drain and fill only remove 40 % of the fluid. The other 60% still remains in the torque converter. If you want to flush the fluid you need to remove the return line and pump transmission oil out from that after you do a drain and fill. By using the return line method you push fluid thru the torque converter out.

I had a mechanic do that method for me once and unfortunately I have switched cities i am unable to find a mechanic who will do the method you explained because the difference between these methods is approximately 3+ litres and thats quite a lot of old fluid still in the system. Can you point to any other youtube video which covers this even if its a different tranny?

To get a full flush, not only get the pan fluid but the torque converter too, the trans usually holds 12.5qts. ( 3.5 gals )With the bulk in ur torque converter (pan-3.5qts , torque converter-9qts, to get fresh fluid thru all channels in tranny, u must start & cycle tranny no more than 1 min. In each gear while pumping fresh fluid....However there’s a caveat , if u change tranny fluid on 40-50k mile Cycle you can flush...but if u go 100k mile + without a change don’t flush bc u will move the dirt & trash of daily use into all the nooks, cranny & channels where they don’t belong & shorten ur trannie’s life, just drop tranny pan , drain & change filter & gasket, refill with 2.5qts of fresh fluid +1qt Lucas non-slip fluid to tranny..you’ll get more use this way. If you do a flush on an old tranny ( 100k + miles & no flush) , your looking at a $3-4K rebuild shortly, just my 2cents, Good Luck!

No, big mistake, you have to always keep in mind to take out less than the added amount

@@TheDwilliams1000 first i drain pan fluid and then added new fluid and start the engine, what it does: it will suction the new fluid from the pan and discharge in to the torque converter and i suction the old fluid that comes out from inlet of cooler, is that was clear??..... i will publish a new video of flushing transmission without using pump with explaining everything and better quality video in these days

I have mitusbishi lancer 2011, run 109000 km, should i change the transmission fluid and filter or the fluid is enough?

I thought CS3 requires Diaqueen SP3 for the CVT transmission? Is Dexron 3 the same thing?

No, and this is the issue. For this 41TE transmission you should use atf +4 oil. Dexron\Mercon is not allowed on this transmission.
