I know absolutely nothing about cars apart from cleaning them, changing a tire and checking the oil. Your videos have given me sooo much information and I've watched some of them multiple times to really soak in all the knowledge. Watched the brake change video today but I'm not yet confident enough to do that. But I might just change the oil myself, check the other fluids and maybe change them or at least tell my uncle (mechanic) what needs to be changed. Keep up the great work

Learning to change oil is a great way to begin learning vehicle maintenance. Along with spark plugs which are inexpensive and also easy to change. Just be mindful not to cross thread your bolts. Especially the drain bolts for oil pans. Buy yourself an actual service manual for your vehicle to go along with the owner's manual. Invest in a few simple quality tools and you'll be off and running.

Believe it or not, knowing nothing about cars is complementary to femininity. Don't feel that you need to get into masculine things to be acceptable (yes, getting into cars is a masculine thing). Sadly, many women today are not taught how to be a female at all. Try and find womanly women, hang out with them and learn from them. Also, unless you've lost your hair because of an illness that you can't control, having a buzz cut is not feminine. If you look to the past, you'll find that feminine women were nothing like the women you see today. You should want to be more feminine not only because it's beautiful, not only because masculine men love it and do not love unfeminine women, but because you are a woman and once you get the basics down, you will naturally do it well. What you just heard is the truth and, sadly as well, the majority of people out ther are too cowardly to tell you the truth. I would say that most people on the coments section are too scared to tell you the truth that they will pander to you. Search for videos of feminine women and you will not see them working on cars. And if you want to get a full dose of real women, search for videos of biblical women. Regardless of how you feel about religion, those women are super feminine and super ladylike. They will give you the best advice. Reunite with your femininity and leave the masculine things to men, there are enough men around to handle the job (including your husband or future husband).

I love this video. I will say that some brands and models are completely different and some are similar but this should give a good idea for most brands. Also, helpful tip with power steering. remove the return line and put it into a 2 liter bottle. Now you can treat it like a brake bleed. Turn the wheel and keep an eye on the level of fluid and refill as needed. When it come in clean, you are good. Old fluid is in the 2-liter and new fluid cycled all the way through without really mixing too much with the old.

Quick point: not all cars have frame rails. Check your owners manual, repair manual for your specific vehicle, or an online forum for the lift points or jack points. Depending on suspension design you can put the jacks under the lower control arms. I wouldn’t recommend this for newbie’s though, as it’ll allow the car body to still move. It’s a viable option though if you only need to lift one wheel off the ground, say to do some brake work.

This video saved my car... and possibly my life. From finding my brakes to be in critical condition, to finding that no one had ever changed the oil in the transfer case, to finding my differential was completely dry (!!)... THANK YOU, CHRIS.
