I think those weapons are meant for players who are playing the main story from a vanilla run.

Completed and got all the trophies! - The Sovereign/Maiden outfits don't carry over but are obtainable in the DLC - apparently through a quest that some people have issues triggering. (No issues for me.) - The Devil's Arms are available from the final dungeon albeit locked behind a special door near the entrance. Their stats do NOT carry over, you have to farm kills again. - The fishing rods are obtainable via one of the packages, I had all my rods. There are a couple of quests about Boss Fish so they're handy for that but it's possible to just buy those from the Owl King. - Many items such as enemy drops can be bought at camp sites and such. I only had a couple of exceptions when it came to quest clearing. You can exploit this to make the best (normal) weapons very early. I had plenty of instant money from DLC to clear everything and have plenty left over. On another note, Solo training mode has a couple of higher difficulties (recommended LVs 90 + 95 respectively). The main game didn't get them.

There is a reason to have the dlc weapons available for beyond the dawn. It isn’t their power but for cosmetic purposes. Once the weapon is “obtained” by the characters it can be used in the outfits menu as a weapon cosmetic option so you could have the look of the silver weapon with the stats of the most powerful weapons you have equipped. This isn’t like a huge boon but it does mean that if you like the look of a specific dlc weapon you can have it available in the beyond the Dawn expansion. It might not really matter for the silver color weapons but could be cool for the cameo weapons for the tales costumes like having the weapon that looks like velvets claw for shionne’s matching outfit

I plan on playing the expansion but I want to finish It Takes 2 first. Really enjoying that game. I guess they want to make the game more challenging for players in the expansion.

well this sucks. only caught the game on xbox store because the DLC was a new release. all that grinding in the main game for nothing. no way I am going to start over now. on to something else. might revisit it a few years.

Fuzz, at least it will carry the artifacts. They are a big deal, but to lose the devils arms is such a painful loss… Still this DLC is a must for me, time to play :)

you also don't carry any accessories over either. Rubbish expansion in my opinion makes no sense starting you at level 65 when i was 100 and removing gear is pointless.

what trash. nothing is carried over. i 100% the game in 55 hours, with level 100 characters, all titles and skills/passives unlocked, best accesories, best armor and weapons, everything maxed and perfect, and nothing carries over. what a fkn joke. not even the SETTINGS carry over so you have to set your settings again, and the strategy you had for your A.I. isnt carried over either so you have to set that up how you wanted it again, and disabling the party members artes you didnt want them to use again too.

This is so damn lazy. Finished Tales of Arise ages ago, and honestly, it was lackluster in the content department. Have no intention on revisiting this game. Would rather play Tales of Vesperia again. Just wish they would bring the Xillia games and Graces F. But they keep dicking around and focusing on Symphonia. 🙄

yea Like all that grinding for devil arms in the main game like 300+hours to pretty much max them out pretty much pointless since theyr unusable in the dlc let me rephrase this if your outside japan you have to use a 2hour code to get everything from the main game devil arms included and a 15 more dlcs that code is pretty much gone already if your UK etc all you can do is complain to bandai about it but if your in japan or live there congratz you get all of it integrated into game and a few dozen extra coliseum fights
