Totaled, hacked, totaled, and repaired... This Terrain has some history. It is time to finish it up. All the parts we were waiting for have arrived... or so I thought. Just typical rebuild problems but it will all get sorted out this time. Since there is some mechanical work to do there will be many specialized tools used in this video. I also share the little known secret to keeping these 2.4 Terrains from experiencing many of the know engine issues.
For seatbelt repairs, module resets I use www.myairbags.com/
For replacement vin, tire pressure, and other labels I use www.ecsvin.com/

Yep, I agreed with it. GM says to trust their OCI lights, but every one I had the carbon sensor goes bad and sometimes it will tell you that you need to give it an oil change 500 miles into the previous one (and, yes, I do reset them properly), and sometimes it won't tell you that you need it at all. So I just stuck to my regular, changing the oil at around the 5,000 mile mark and called it good. Part of the reason why I like how Subaru's handle maintenance. You just program how far out you want the intervals to be and it keeps track of the mileage and/or months.

Scott, you would think by now I would have learned not to drink a beer while watching your videos! You owe me a half roll of paper towels! You didn’t say which tool you used when you installed the spoiler, shame, shame! My brother had one experience with jiffy lube, he had them do a full fluid change on his Ford pickup, yes I know, I hate to admit that I’m related, two strikes, a Ford and jiffy lube. They replaced all the fluids except for the rear differential, they left it dry. It cost them thousands of dollars to settle with him after the rear end locked up at 70 mph. So, no more jiffy lube. Btw, the freight liner I drive with a Detroit DD15 has recommended oil change intervals of 50,000 miles. We change at half of that. Another great video. Dan.

You are 100% correct about the oil changes. Sad problem. The oil is so diluted with gasoline you have to change it at 3000 miles no MORE... I confirm this issue by using Blackstone oil labs Analysis for one year on a brand new zero mi's 2.4l. from Gm. The fuel pressure levels are so radical with the change in charging system voltage on a lot of these cars. Just get your oil analysis every 3 to 6 mo.
