For everyone who doesn't know. You goal is to have always 5 Star Matches. You get the five Stars for these things: -Signature Move 1 -Signature Move 2 -Finisher 1 -Finisher 2 -Put your opponment through the Announce Table.

It blows my mind that SVR 2008 had a tiny roster and had GM mode. 2009 they double the roster, add brand new wrestlers…..and take away GM mode. 2009-2010 svr almost killed wrestling games for me

I played so much SVR 2009 back when it came out on PS2. I had no idea this game mode existed on other consoles until like last year.

I played as Mr. Kennedy and exploited hell in a cell. Lured the other guy to the top and threw him down with a Pedigree, got him back up, threw him down again with another move, and then finished it with Sweet Chin Music since it's an automatic pin animation and doesn't get possumed

Reminds me of the Battle For The Belt Mode from WrestleMania 18 on Gamecube where you just win a bunch of matches to obtain 1 title, and there's A LOT of titles in each difficulty setting.

This was my favorite wrestling game by far. I LOVED the road to wrestlemania mode

Yeah this mode was terrible, I could never bring myself to ever finish it in 09 or even in 10 because it was brought back in that game as well pretty much untouched.

The fact that they removed GM mode for this was abysmal

It was so stripped down from 08. I know 08 was a mixed bag, but at least they didn't take away Season mode and GM modes.

What were they thinking with this mode…. You know its bad when the PS3 version had a cheat code where you can boost your CAW’s overall to 90 without career mode.

this reminded me of how i used to look at red and white mint candies and they would remind me of the ECW graphics the good ol days

Career Mode never heard of it before me and my friends played a lot of SmackDown vs Raw 2009! Maybe I played it and I just don’t remember?

It was on SvR2010 as well which is where I remember it from and it was very simple but I remember enjoying it as a kid

One things that pissing me off I had wwe smackdown vs raw, 06, 07, 08 ,09 and 2011 and 2013 but I swear to my life I can’t not remember 09 menus looking like that like I deadass used to play it constantly cuz I just couldn’t get 2010

How did we go from Season Mode, Then 24/7 Mode to This Trash can under the Ring?

They should’ve gave Shelton a manager of some sort bcz outside of being an ok promo I never understood why he didn’t win a world title 🤦🏽‍♂️

For the most part I love games where I can enhance my stats as I play it. But the Career Mode was the most boring mode in the Wrestling Games. Did play it with 3 CAW's though.

Does anyone know why 09 was so bare bones? Like I seriously don't see how the new "hot tag" feature could've taken so much of the focus. Wonder if the game went through a development restart, which is why it's so bare, lol.

I was there before and I think you could win either the males titles with woman or the women's titles with males.

honestly, I am kinda okay with this mode. I would rather have any other mode to play, but if in a hypothetical scenario we could have a game with or without it with nothing removed or added because of the decision to include it, well, might as well, it seems like a very low-effort mode to create anyways, you just put the player through matches. but I think it's a bit more interesting than Exhibition at least where you are fighting for something, you know for the times you want to take a break from other modes. but for this to be the only mode in the game other than RTWM is ridiculous lol

Career Mode was so boring. SVR 09 was a very disappointing SVR installment.

Worst game mode of any SvR game ever , also SvR 09 was the weakest SvR game in my opinion...by far....
