Earlier this year the UK Trauma Council - a project of Anna Freud - hosted a learning event on complex trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The conference presented the latest research and practice in supporting young people who have experienced complex trauma - particularly in relation to (complex) PTSD. Delegates heard about the latest research trials happening in child and adolescent mental health teams, as well as from expert clinicians in the delivery of NICE-recommended practice in the face of complexities, including multiple comorbidities, safeguarding and risk needs, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Speakers included Professor Rachel Hiller, David Trickey, Professor Richard Meiser-Stedman, Dr Jess Richardson, Laura Bartlett and Professor Eamon McCrory.
