great video! but i wonder why no one explains this with inverted axes. so real would be on the y axis, directly represents amplitude (low to high) and imag is horizontal, so shifts from left to right and vice versa.

Interesting question. I guess it's from the convention to have the complex plane with a horizontal real axis.
