Charles D. King made history as he rose from the mailroom of William Morris agency to its first African-American partner, spearheading the careers of everyone from Oprah and Tyler Perry to Missy Elliott and Janet Jackson. Here, he chronicles how he left WME to launch Macro, a multicultural media company responsible for Fences, one of 2016's biggest films.

It’s crazy I never seen this interview. It was a pleasure to work on set with him. Though we didn’t speak much, I respect his moves he made.

Superb episode and subject. Much success to MACRO and Charles D. King. Shouts to the Complex production crew for the shots & edits. The closing profile silhouette shot of King was awesome; much better than the over-shadowy Joie Manda shot from that episode. Great work.

Noah is a awesome interviewer. Just worked on a project as sound mixer he produced. Was amazed how thoughtful and sharp his questions were on set. No fluff.

Why is it referred to as Multi-Culture when only 1 culture is represented in the films?

Also I find it so weird that your first reaction (assuming you're white) is "but what about white people". Just look at 95% of the movies out now, I think you'll find Qwhite enough representation.
