Complicated marble border, how it's done. This is a major steps video of the installation of a marble border consisting of a Pencil liner, basket weave mosaic tile and Chair rail. I give a few important tips on how to handle a double outside corner when they are mitered to give a continuous flow around the corner without any polishing or bull nose to interrupt the look of the border. Mosaics can be very difficult to deal with when they are mounted on a mesh and are just loosely held together, mounting the mosaic on a membrane to transform it into a ridged panel makes the installation of difficult transitions much easier, and produce a better outcome. It is however important to prepare the mounted tiles in advance to give it adequate time to harden and become ridged.
