As soon as I saw the title, it reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Bart sold his soul to his friend for $5. Bart thought he got the better of the deal, but quickly found out that, with no soul, he couldn't even set off the automatic door opener at the grocery store without a soul- Comedy, yes, but the point was effective, lol.

The most important thing to remember upfront is that we're physically mortal. That means that no matter what our physical end is built in to what we are and it doesn't matter how bad things feel, this is only temporary anyway.

@@aturchomicz821 It's just steadily been getting worse and worse. They're pretty much creatively bankrupt, so their go to seems to be to just create movies and shows they know people are going to hate so they can scream about how they're only failing because they're victims of "toxic community X".

The whole thing is run by a desire to make safe profits to the point that they don't even try new things and just stick to reworks of things that already succeeded. Anything good it produces is more coincidence. But the only thing they seem to have sold their "souls" to is greed and a cancerous model of economy. (Like most of the world right now.)

There's something I've wondered about selecting which entity to devote yourself to: these beings are unfathomably old, good or evil, they have been doing this for a very, very long time, and almost certainly know more of magick and reality than even the most learned human magus. Given this, how do you judge which entities are truly trustworthy, and which ones are simply good at masquerading as trustworthy and benevolent? Is it something you just have to feel out?

As with any relationship, there's no use going in if you can't trust the other person (in this case entity), trust should be a given. So if you feel like you can't trust the other being, my advice would be to not go in.

The only historical Hell is Hel from Norse mythology which is the domain of Goddess of the same name. Hell, as in the flames and torture, was a concept that developed more in popular media than Christianity and then bled into Islam. I have no reason to believe that anyone has any desire to torture anyone for all eternity.

When I was a teenager, I played a flash game on the internet. It had the option to sell your soul for the answer to a puzzle. I eventually got frustrated with a puzzle that I couldn't solve and took the deal. I know that it was just a program made by humans. But I still fear that that contract was binding and my eternal soul is damned to Hell or some place else horrible. Is that possible in real life?

No. Invert the question. "If you can't solve this puzzle, you have the option to give yourself to Jesus". This is not very dedicated. It does not make you a good Christian from pressing the button. I do not think that Jesus suddenly takes an interest in you if you don't take an interest in Jesus. People work towards being able to establish communication with a spirit, so accidental sellings of soul don't really happen.

Isn't that a movement for cyber and DNA enhancements to people? As for spiritual - we are not human to begin with. That's merely the shape that we wear right now. It is why there's less of a divide between what one calls as angel, demon, or God. It's not a different species.
