I can't believe this video is so underrated. We talk so much about AI these days but I'v haven't seen much videos about what we really need to achieve real AI

People are too caught up with the success of NNs. They don't even want to hear anything about how the mind actually works

Super interesting video! I expected nothing less from Tenenbaum. I think my first introduction to his understanding of how we might construct intelligence was when he gave a lecture to Lex Fridman's students also back in 2018/19. Thanks for sharing these!

The fourth one is multi-dimensional search, everything can be viewed as an object with comparable properties, actions change properties, think about the algorithm as stacked filters, for example, the game "20 questions" - you can use it to recognize objects from observed properties or diseases from observed symptoms or meanings of words from context, just consider proper properties and you will not have to guess anything.

just based on the way we already prosses and design computers are there any computers with complete self recognition capabilities and autonomy? and if not is it likely that we as humans who still fail to understand each other as part of one zeitgeist would even one be able to begin to process who we are and 2 be able to make use of that information. I think what I'm trying to suggest is maybe humans like machines lack objectivity and Perseptive oversite by design. - Nikoallcaps

Little did Turing know, the infant brain starts with a bizarrely over-connected brain and learns by cutting the unnecessary connections, so adults are actually simpler.
