Hello Sir, Epic video 👌 Epic channel 😀 I really need your opinion: I'm undecided between the Asus Proart 279cv , BenQ PD2705U and Lg 27un880-b, based on your experience and knowledge, which of the three do you think is the best buy? I'm going to use this monitor for web design, web content, programming and also for watching movies and series. My office has a window that is usually open. The window is 4 meters away from the monitor. What do you think? Thanks in advance

Thanks. I was wondering what the height of the top of the monitor is above the desk that it is on when it is at its lowest position on the stand.

Bought this and instantly got disappointed. There's a massive tint shift to green. Had it replaced with another brand new unit. Identical green shift. I ended up replacing it with a CV version. I don't know why is that considering they are calibrated at factory.

@MateuszGraczykPL1992 Yep I'm really familiar with color spaces and it's corresponding color casts. I've tried every possible profiles from monitor and on the mac. Green casts on everything unless I manually adjust the rgb gain and offset.

@MateuszGraczykPL1992 i figured it just happened that 2 of the units I've tried were not properly calibrated since very few of us have encountered the problem 🤷♂️

@MateuszGraczykPL1992 it is. I was hoping it was firmware problem but asus didn't respond. Ended up getting the cv vsrsion. The colors are accurate compared side by side with the crv at the same color spaces.

I ordered it after watching your video from South Korea. I think it is 2023 model Before your video watch, I am thinking about ASUs pro art 279CV. Now totally changed by you ❤

Great choice. I was also considering getting the CV before Asus reached out. But the CV didn't have Adobe RGB which I enjoy using and the power delivery on the CV is just 65W compared to the CRV's 96W 😀

At the PA279CRV Monitor, Which mode should I use always Native mode or SRGB mode or Adobe RGB mode or DCI p3 mode or other? Whe photoshop editing, color is important So please let me know

@@yourvitamin9474 oh, I don’t know what the correct answer to that is. But I like editing photos in Lightroom using Adobe RGB.

All depends, depends @@yourvitamin9474 of where you going to see the photos or videos after, or where the photos/videos coming from, some cameras have setting that let you choose between Srgb or Argb, so you should see and work if possible in that color gamut, Srgb is mostly for web/phones, youtube, rec709, dci-p3 video, even if your source is srgb you can convert to another format with photoshop/premiere o davinci, view in original/convert if need it and view again on the new format to be sure everything look good, and this is the great of wide color gamut monitors like this one, is this monitor was 600 nits and 32 inch will be perfect, but look great for the price. I thinking on ordering one.

considering the apple studio display is 3x or 4x the price of this one, I think this is a great option. I have never owned Asus screes so long-term reliability would be unkown to me.

Hi Niko, great review, helped me a lot to choose monitor. One question, do you know how to disable the asus logo when the monitor switch on? Is shows every single time for more than 5 sec. It's very annoying. Thanks in advance

Actually good jod, good review. However though can you please try for gaming? I am not a gamer but since I use windows might as well install games in the computer. So I am wondering how is the gaming experience from this monitor. Thank you

I'm currently swaying between getting two of these, or getting a single BenQ SW272U. I'm pretty sure the BenQ will be better, but not sure if it's good enough to sacrifice a twin monitor setup.

Hi Niko. I just purchased this exact monitor, and I have it paired with a 2019 16 inch Macbook Pro. I am having the hardest time figuring out how to utilize any other Preset function except HDR. All other options are Greyed out. I would love to use the RGB, and the DCI-P3 like yourself. I have googled just about every way possible to find a solution, but nothing seems to be poping up. I know its a user error on my end, and I must have some sort of setting off, but I was wondering if you had this issue when you first turned your monitor on. Thanks for you time.

Hi Eric. I never had this issue with my monitors. Let me try to reach out to Asus to see what's happening there. May I know what type of connection you are using to connect your computer to the monitor?

Hey thanks for getting back to me and no worries at all. I don't mean for you to reach out to them for me. I'll send them a message and see what they say. I was just curious if you had that problem at all. I'm using the USB C cable that was provided with the monitor and have that connected to my MacBook going directly to the monitor. @@NikoBols

I have seen tutorials on how to Color Calibrate the monitor as well, and certain things you can download from their website specific to the monitor, but for the Mac OS system, the only options they show are for M1 and M2 models it looks like. I could be wrong, but those are the only ones I'm seeing outside of Windows Operating System Download options@@NikoBols

Hey! probably a dumb question, but when color grading, should I set the color preset to Rec. 709 or should I just leave it to Native Mode since it's already calibrated?

For me, I either use Rec709 or sRGB. This is just based on research I do online and not a technical answer as I am not a professional when it comes to color grading.

I don't know if there's an always perfect mode, but I like using Adobe RGB.
