Awesome....replacing the CMOS battery did it for me. Had taken it to a repair centre and was told the motherboard needs replacement. Came across this video right on time. You're a lifesaver, moneysaver, possibly also a marriage saver :)) Kudos

To all of you who suggested re-seating the RAM...thank you, it worked for me. Spent 3 days trying to diagnose and almost ordered a new 1000w PSU! Also make sure your graphics card snap-locks into its socket. If it doesn't make a snap sound it probably isn't seated properly and the pc will not boot or windows may suddenly restart

the affore mentioned brown can also cause static to build up in the PCI slot so removing and reseating the GPU can also help solve many problems.

Just an additional precaution for handling your memory module chip is to hold the modules by the edges only not to hold it by the conductive area.

I've watched these Help videos since nearly KZfaq started and none has ever worked for me.....however I ended my 14 year streak today and it worked for me. I tried switching Ram and even buying new Ram ($170) and this worked for free lol.

For all people who have never installed RAM into their PC before, make sure that the RAM was installed correctly. do not be afraid to give it a hard push. Once the latch snaps onto the RAM, you know it is correctly installed. do not snap the latch yourself

Hey, I have a question, when I first pressed my power button it turned off and shut off in around a second. I pressed to turn it on again and it turned on and has been fine since then do you think it could just be a random mess up or something? The only other time something like this has happened was when it was the outlet's fault so I'm not sure what it could be I checked windows defender and nzxt cam for stuff and nothing came up. After class right now I'm going to turn my computer off and turn it on while watching inside my computer to see if I can find anything but idk if anything will happen out of the normal.
