I have my suspicions, though. The guy first said it was his mom, then said it was a guy by name, not even that it's his friend or something. When Conan talked to the person on the phone it seemed that it wasn't the same person, and Conan asked if that was the same guy who called because that person didn't seem to answer by that name. The man in the audience didn't really answer and then kept tapping Conan when he sat down for some reason, as if signaling him to something. I have a feeling the guy is having an affair and was caught on tv and the call is actually from a woman, but Conan didn't talk to the person like he usually does. The guy barely looked at Conan when the call ended. Watch it again and you'll see how weird it is.

@@Pumpkin0_0 nice try, no. that is not how set up works. Conan is good at improv, the guy just says whatever trying get his phone back, expecting he will not talk on it. Only part is unrealistic is the person on the phone usually does not have such long attention span. He should of already hang up. Rather than that, it seems pretty normal.

Body Language Drama guy will make a video about how that guy touched Conan's shoulder to make himself look less humiliated and how Conan stayed for a bit, deciding whether he wants to destroy that guy or not and finally touching HIS shoulder and then offering a handshake 'cause he's classy. And it will be true. All of it.

For those who think this is staged: You can hear some of it because the phone on speaker and he has a microphone close to his head. Think people! You don't hear the entire conversation because he moved the phone away from the microphone.

I think it's mandatory to turn off the phone or make it in silent mode when attending a taping so incidents like in this clip will be avoided. Things like this does interrupt the program and everybody else's time so that's probably why Conan is like that but he pulled it off pretty smooth. And I agree he's the best.

Folks, tapings are FREE. He's probably wearing the headphones because he got the ticket THAT day. There are spots in LA/Hollywood where free tickets are GIVEN for tapings. Sometimes an audience member is told to RUSH to the show. To hurry. Because they want to fill the audience. Whatever you're wearing or not wearing THAT'S how you look. For all we knew he was trying to contact Brandon and let him know he's inside the studio. (Once a show taping starts, they don't let people in.) But he did show bad etiquette by letting his phone ring instead of putting it on vibrate.
