I believe what you were trying to say was that the communist government doesn't want foreigners filming the reality of life in a failed socialist state. The same thing happens in North Korea and happened in the USSR back in the day. It has nothing to do with latinos as a people.

There is no "Jurassic Park Island" (per se), The island is called Isla Nublar. And technically speaking, the islands weren't owned by InGen but rather leased for 99 years. Neither did Hammond own InGen (the company that leased the island), he was just the CEO (with a stake in the company).

I am cuban. I was born in Havana and been living in Miami since 1993. I was so happy when I learned that the first american celebrity with "balls" to go to Cuba and do a show was going to be Conan. Conan is the funniest guy on TV right now and he gets it. The doors are opening after 55 years of isolation. Europeans, Canadiens and Asians have been vacationing in Cuba for decades. Every time I hear one of my american buddies ask me if it is safe or if they could be kidnapped down there I am reminded of the power of misinformation and fear mongering. It is one the safest countries in latin America, virtually no violent crime of any kind and drugs are almost impossible to buy. Beautiful beaches, friendly, smart people, top shelf cigars and rum and amazing history you can touch with your own hands every time you step outside. Conan has done more than decades of government bs from both sides have achieved. The american embassy is opening after 55 years. I think it is only logical to get team Coco in there ASAP. :P

I'm from the UK and I've been to Cuba three times over the last decade. If you're wondering what it is like outside Havana, it is actual quite glorious. It is by far my favourite place on planet Earth, the people are fantastic and the country is beautiful!

I never write these things, but I was home sick with bronchitis and watched Conan In Cuba and I laughed so hard it hurt my lungs!!! One of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. No script, just Conan being Conan. This will go down in television history as one of his funniest moments. Just classic!

Thank you for making this. All you guys are great and it shows. I can see Conan traveling to different places and recording an episode at each place. That never ever works for me. If I leave spiders alone they never bug me. If I kill one then 1 to 2 days later a fuckin spider crawls on me. Its like they got some odd revenge hive mentality.

I don't want Conan's regular show, but I LOVE his road trips!! He is hysterically funny! The Korean spa episode was hilarious!!!! I was in South Korea for 11 months (in 2007), so I could relate to it; as could my wife.

Now that some of the travel restrictions have been lifted I looked into maybe taking a trip to Cuba...nope! As a United States citizen you must go with a tour group and are not allowed to leave it at any time. So that means no personal exploring or lounging by the beach relaxing. Screw that. Guess they made an exception for Mr. O'Brien.

well, you can go the round about way and go to Cuba from Canada in which case you can go anywhere you want. But yeah, go to the touristy places, they're way better.

I would imagine the size of the production crew makes it a tourist group in and of itself. Probably has its own security as well.
