The a pillar trim won’t cause the airbags to go off. Something triggered one of the airbag sensors in the doors, quarter panel or the center console air bag module. My assumption is since it blew the curtain air bags and locked the seat belts it was the main computer in the center console right under the dash. You may have pulled enough Gs in the corner for the computer to think it was in a rollover thus cause the curtain airbags to deploy. ⭐️ The more you know! 😊

was going to say this, a pillar needs a big impact for it to set off, however the trim can be removed no problem, that’s how I run cables and other accessories.

I think around turn 17-18 he could go into that turn a little bit wider, might be numbering my turns wrong but its at the 30 min mark. Instead of braking maybe let off the gas, come in a bit wider, tap the gas as you need. Just me tho, i just feel like theres a bit more wiggle room in that curve. Great laps were made and greater laps will be created. Good stuff man.

I run 2 diffs on my BRZ. The stock 4.10 and a second setup thats 4.88 for shorter more aggressive tracks. Be warned tho...the 4.88 takes like a whole gear out of the car so top speed is rough but for 4th gear and below tracks on stock diff its 5th and below on the 4.88 so still not terrible. Benefit of 4.88 tho is 20% more torque to the ground so it gets it really hard in the lower gears.

Getting back into accelerator before apex is adding time to your lap but your biggest time killer is your turning in to soon and needing to straighten and recommit into the turn. That requires more turning angle of the wheel but also doing so unloads & reloads the suspension. Doubling the work on the shocks fluid & tires. Hotter the fluid, softer the damping, less control & less consistency.
