Good video, but I want to break some things down. I think Yu Narukami would be in the game, not only because he's the main character in persona 4, but also he doesn't actually live in Inaba.(I don't think the series actually says where he's from) Chie would probably be in the game because there is an easter egg in persona 5 where she becomes a police officer, and persona 4 arena tied her story with Akihiko's. It doesn't really make sense for Teddie to be in Tokyo, because he does live in Inaba. If sees is in the game then Labrys would be in the game, because she is tied to Aigis, who is tied to Mitsuru. Yukari has a good reason to be in Tokyo, because she's a celebrity. (Though I don't think her inclusion is likely.)

you forgot an easy character for P4, Yu, he literally is from the city so you could just say, "oh he lives in Tokyo so he would be here"

I wouldn’t say scramble doesn’t take place after Royal. Royal does give details on how the thieves will be living their lives after Joker goes home which (don’t worry it’s no spoiler) Scramble does address and lines up with. And not to mention it does give a reason for Kasumi/Sumire’s absence with the fact that by the time scramble takes place she’ll be busy participating in the national gymnastics competition. (Plus I heavily doubt that Royal wouldn’t be canon considering how popular it is and the fact that Persona remakes end up being canon all the time...for better or worse.)

You can catch a TV report in P5 that confirms that both Akihiko and Chie are attending the Tokyo Police Academy, so that's an in for the two right there.

Some thoughts i have on the movesets you purposed and some of my own ideas: - I feel like Morgana would definite have his car form as part of his regular moveset and have a focus on more zany attacks similar to how teddie was handled. He has aa bit of this in regular P5 too with his access to miracle punch and his use of a slingshot instead of a gun. Given his sword is pretty big I can see him being a big pain to fight especially if he has acess to healing moves. - Ryuji I expect to have a lot of super armor and unblockable chargable moves sort of like Ralf from KOF. This works well with his high endurance from the base game. - I totally agree with Ann as a zoner that just makes sense. - For Yusuke I can see him as a stance change character similar to Yuzuriha in Under Night. Normally is fast, with lots of combos but also benefits from spacing but when he's stnace changed he has a more focused approach with great range and power. - Makoto, like morgana will probably use Johanna for movement in some of her moves but most be a rush down character - I don't have much to say about Futaba That's pretty much what I envisioned too - Haru I somehow see as a projectile character, mostly because of how focused Milady is on gun moves. I can her having slow speed but being able to move independently of Milady's gunfire gives her an easy way to close the distance and lay down the hurt. I can also see her Psychic moves being used more as grabs than the projectiles we see in game, sort of like how Tien can summon chiaotzu to lock an enemy in place with telekinesis in Dragonball FighterZ. She also has heat riser in P5 so I can see her having and buff install super. - Akechi might be a character who can switch between two movesets. He could start as Hero of Justice akechi and then switch to the more powerful Black Mask Akechi, both with different playstyles. Regular Akechi is more calculated and patient and Black Mask akechi faster and more aggressive. Or like you said they could be seperate. Personally having them switch is more interesting and makes sense since he can literally do that in game. - I agree on Lavenza though I can also imagine that she may have several moves where she splits back into caroline or justine not just an insta kill. It's possible that she can even form switch into them on the fly giving her a different moveset or even have the twins be a seperate character to lavenza with a puppet character style gameplay similar to Ken and Koromaru or the Ice Climbers. Food for thought - I also think that given this game would be coming out after both after the release of Royal and Scrambles theres a really good chance of the original character from those games getting added in the base roster possibly being the thing that finally connects Scrambled to the royal continuity. Or they could appear in a sequel or DLC if they choose to pull and Ultimax on us. - I should mention that Yu Narukami is establish live outside of Inaba and went back there at the end of Persona 4. We don't know where he lived but it could easily be tokyo or someplace nearby. They could very easily make a reason for him to appear, in fact it's possible he followed in Dojima's footseps and became a detective or even joined the shadow operatives leaving plenty of opportunities to have him interract with the thieves. He's likely to appear anyways though since he's the character fighting game fans are most familiar with. - Additionally Chie decided to become a cop at the end of her social link and is actively working towards that in Arena. Persona 5 even references a young up and coming female cop who's been getting a lot of attention in the same way it references Rise and Naoto. She could totally being undergoing training in Tokyo or have been transferred there similarly to how adachi was transferred to Inaba. - I think it's also pretty likely for Sho and Labrys to appear for similar reasons to Narukami. They are very recognizeable to people who got into the series through arena. P5 Arena would also be a follow up and successor to Persona 4 Arena so I feel there is a bit of an obligation to follow up on some of the original characters and plot threads left unanswered from P4 Arena. The wearabout of Sho for example or what Labrys has been up to now that she's a shadow operative.

I would definitely love to see Niijima, Haru and Akechi in a fighting game

Great video man, I know this might never really happened, but I think It be neat if the female Protagonist of Persona 3 portable appears in a Persona 5 arena rooster (at least as a DLC), I know it's not gonna happened 'cause realistically, She's not that different from Minato Arisato/Makoto Yuki, so the best scenario is that they'd had her more like her Persona q2 version discarding her chibi design and look more close to her original appearance, but I'd be interesting if She's added, with a outfit design, that resembles Shinjiro as well as Ryoji (Of course She'd use her uniform under her outfit as a reference that She's a different character during the events of Persona 3 the journey story) Basically, She's affected by Shinji's death and Ryoji's betrayal, I imagine Her having interesting character interactions with other Persona characters that had suffer a loss like a family member or a friend, as well as characters that are conflicted for a betrayal for someone like the phantom thieves for example and even interacting with a more mature verions from the SEES group she remembers, but again it's more likely there just using her PQ2 version instead, her gameplay and fighting style, It would resemble her animations in Persona 3 Portable and Persona q2, while in a way, also resembling animations from her male counterpart. Her Persona, would mostly fight kinda like what we saw Makoto's Orpheus fight in the movie adaptations. and her insta-kill, it would either be her Orpheus turning into Orpheus Telos or Mesiah and finish her foe with a powerful flaming attack or, Thanatos Emerges from Orpheus just like how he Appeared the first time when the protagonist (Both male and female respectably) awakens they're Persona the first time and brutally attacks any poor foe caught on, bashing them and even cutting his enemy and then finish them by throwing a powerful curse attack ending the foe. Again, I know this might never really happened since there are other female Persona 3 characters more popular (Pluss She only appers in two games unlike the other charactrs in persona 3 that has an movie adaptation to add some material for a moveset) and that the best case scenario is that Aigis becomes basically a Persona 3 protagonist representative, or FEMC appears as a color pallet for characters like Sumire, Sophie, or Labrys that references FEMC, but hey, one can dream, right?

Sorry in advance if anyone doesn't understand certain terms Joker: a neutral based shoto character with a slight emphases on keep away. Morgana: A rushdown character that has a hard time getting in with really good combo potential. Ryuji: A slower shoto character with that does more damage but has a slightly harder time getting in. Ann: A zoner character who uses her whips and various fire skills to keep the opponent out. Maybe her fire does a burn like effect that does a little dmg over time. Yusuke: A defensive stance based character that can go into a blade stance. While he's normally a regular shoto character, his blade stance would let him do quick strikes with his sword to give him more options. Makoto: A grappler rushdown hybrid who is able to use her bike skills to get up close and throw her opponents. They may be able to implement her nuclear skills too as an oki skill. Haru: A slower set play character who relies on mix ups. While many of her normal would be slow I can see her having a rekka that allows her to mix up the opponent if she gets in. Maybe Incorporate her psychokinesis skills with how tricky it would be to beat her on oki. Futaba: For me I don't see anything more fitting for futaba than a keep away character like hazama from Blazblue. She would have a bunch of different projectiles while she flies around in Necronomicon. Akechi: I would see Akechi as someone who is very similar to joker but maybe instead of having high mobility like joker and zoning tools like joker, he could maybe switch stances with a super. This may be overzealous but I think it would be cool for a super to change him into his real outfit complete with more "3rd semester-esque" voice lines. Maruki: i think maruki would be an interesting character to see in the same vain as Adachi from ultimax. I would assume him to be the puppet master character of the game and being able to set azzathoth in places or using him for certain specials while he attacks with his staff. Lavenza: I think lavenza is an incredibly likely character to be in the game in the same vain as Margaret and Elizabeth. She would no doubt play very similar to those 2 being a character with a bunch of specials with a slight priority on rushdown and a bit of lockdown on top. Sumire: could be a standard neutral based rush down character with less tools for zoning but has crazy good range. I didn't mention ultimates/instant kills but the only ones that I really wanna talk about are Joker, akechi's, sumire's and marukis. I think it's pretty obvious that joker and Maruki will use Satanael/ Adam Kadmon respectively but I think it would be pretty thematically interesting for the only other instant kills with transforming personas to be sumire and akechi. This is because Akechi having his stance change motif between outfits would only lead to the conclusion which is him summoning Hereward. Sumire also doesn't have a much to work with and it would make sense to see her use Ella.

Minor Spoilers for P5S and Major Spoilers for P3: Following Persona 5 Strikers, I have a feeling Sophie and Zenkichi would also be part of the base roster. I think we would end up having all 12 phantom thieves part of the main roster. The P5 Arena story would probably be used to tie up the loose ends of Royal and Strikers, while also being a major crossover game with P3 and P4. I’m honestly wanting to make a video soon on my own hypothetical P5 Arena. I think it’d be fun. I will say I think the main plot would be the Shadow Ops/Investigation Team hunting down the Phantom Thieves. Also think that Elizabeth trying to bring back Makoto Yuki would play a major role in this story and likely connect to how we’d have some major godlike entity to take on at the end. I believe that Makoto Yuki might end up coming back and be a character you only unlock after beating the game. Only other thing I’ll add is that I think that Kotone would definitely be DLC for this game. I’d also think Adachi could be in the story as a character that could help push Akechi’s likely redemption arc. I’m probably wrong, but this is the very basic explanation on how I think P5 Arena would play out.

I know this sounds really weird, but how about a few of the Confidants? The major examples I could imagine are, firstly, Iwai (who would use a wide number of weapons but, obviously, not possess a Persona) and secondly, Sojiro who would literally use food and stuff. (Spoilers) I'd also quite like to see something like, say, Demiurge Igor as a character or maybe both forms of Shido (that is, his powerful 'kingly' form, and the muscular form as well)

Personally, I think cognitive Akechi is kinda cheap coming off of Royal, where it’s a major aspect of the third semester on wether or not Akechi is real.

am sure if it happens then it will be a continuation to persona 4 arena ultimax just like blazblue continuum shift is to chrono phantasma all characters from persona 4 arena will return and add 8 plus 1 clone characters but it won't have all the phantom thieves only the first 5 i know what your thinking that's less then the characters then i suggested but these slots are for characters for persona 3 and 4 so the rest of the phantom thieves plus characters from extended versions of persona 5 will be in another sequel think Blazblue Central Fiction so if you do the math you get a total of 36 playable characters plus 4 clone characters so that's 40 characters if not then Persona 5 scramble is that rumored persona 5 arena and that game didn't do so well so that game will be persona 5 last installment
