Peter Jennings was onboard the British Airways flight as it soon reached a speed of Mach 2. The Concorde's final flight from NYC's JFK Airport to London's Heathrow took place on October 24, 2003.

@@mesocorny4366The boom overture rip off hasn't even been built yet. America tried back then to create a copy and it never set foot off the tarmac. Concorde was ahead of its time.

@mesocorny4366 How sad that you believe Concorde would not have existed without American approval. And in regard to your SST attempt. No engine manufacturer is interested in producing for your plane. That says alot.

Queen of the Skies I wonder had our US SST received as much attention as Concorde did would it have mattered Imagine the 2707-300 or Lockheed L-2000 on their maiden flight to Europe
