In Australia, the expansion foam comes with the adhesive already attached. Just peel off the backing paper to reveal the sticky side.

Neat seeing that fiberglass rebar again and hearing the discussion. Really gets me wondering about future materials for civil engineered structures and longer lasting integrity for those mega structures that are a re-enforced concrete design. Was recently thinking about natural resources like 50 to 100ft tall or maybe more storied erections and also wrapping with a composite so for like 1000 year designs. Wondering what all else would need to be done to engineer the cement before hand and like more than a aerogel or fireproofing outer layer too for fire risk mediation. Bearing like pillar bases on piles like I think started in Japan and might be used elsewhere now I'm thinking for sure. Though yeah, seems like there is potential for like carbon fiber rod and maybe more cost effective composite rods or maybe even plastics for coatings if not thermoset instead of thermoplastic. Oh, well... I'm thinking the unions like me.

That’s awesome. I’ve never seen fiberglass rebar before. They seem lighter and easier to transport and cut. Would you use these in block walls in place of Steele as well?

hot damn, i didn't know metal rebar could be so problematic. What are some cheaper methods to prevent rebar rust? Waterproof the whole driveway so water doesn't get absorbed? I read that it's mainly chlorine that causes rebar problems. So as long as you're not using it in a pool or salting your driveway, seems like old fashioned rebar is just fine in socal?

What did you use to tie in the fiber glass rebar? When I used it for walls of a foundation my boss had me tie them in with plastic zip ties but I think regular rebar ties would have worked better. I bet our verticals were all fucked because those zip ties seemed weak.

How much does something like this cost? I have some work that I need to get done but clueless on what is even a ballpark figure
