There are different types of of concrete silo construction methods depending on the type of silo you need. Slipform silos have been around for almost 100 years and are built by creating a one-time use form for that specific width silo. A hydraulic jack system is used to raise the form 1 inch at a time. This type of silo build is a 24-hour around the clock build without stopping regardless of weather conditions. The form slides up over the concrete setting in place about 1 foot per hour. There is a lot of backup needed in this type of silo construction that plans ahead for any type of contingency.
